Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

You haven't been paying attention .. his passing was this good last season too, when he did have the right set-up. I don't see BR moving him back into DM now - the difference with him and Lucas in that position is night/day. 1 goal conceded in 3 games. Now just got to fix the front line, Sturridge back will make a huge difference and it's a near certainty that we'll be in for another striker in January. Lots of talk Poyet still wants Borini and Jackson Martinez's agent is saying we've approached Porto. Who knows the truth.

Good luck dealing with Porto, they'll clean out your bank account. Especially with them still being in the CL and fighting for the Portuguese Liga.

I'm sure Rodgers can get him at a cut price. He's been quite shrewd in the market so far.

lol

He can offer them 2 players in return, Balotelli and Borini. Porto can start their very own B&B.

I was exclusively talking about this season... I never said anything about last season?

He was pretty good last season and had the likes of Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge stretching play thus allowing him to maximise his passing range. I've acknowledged this in the past. Liverpool obviously don't have the right set up right now with several players who don't seem to fit in or are severely off form.

I was referring to your comments re. midfield. But definitely agree with all your comments.

What the actual fcuk was that?:lol: I've been hearing all these "good" things about Utd and how they're sorting themselves out and tonight I finally get to watch them properly...:lol:

Liverpool will be bricking it this weekend. They really will. Utd for the league title!! Bramble for England!! :D:wenger::wenger:

Have you seen the fcking state of your team? Di Maria is not Suarez, mainly 'cos he's not built with steel like Luis. That's what you'll need, as your comprades never forget to remind us constantly.

And that backline/philosophy. OMFG. I would sack Rodgers now if he came out with shit like this. Well done on the three points though, you're getting the karma now that you were denied earlier in the season (Leicester, etc). But don't confuse good fortune with a good team.

If you lose on Sunday its season over for you lot in terms of catching us.

One injury to Sturridge and your season feel apart.

I agree, 10 points might be too much for our at the moment average looking team. But the way your team's playing suggests we'll both be battling for the Europa spot with you comfortably taking it from us.

That defence. Shocker (and this coming from a Liverpool fan who's painfully witnessed Gerrard try to protect Lovren and Skrtel all autumn)

Rubbish. Southampton,West Ham etc wont finish ahead of us.

The irony.

Please tell me you're not referring to my parody post in the Southampton and Liverpool thread. Seriously. If you are, you just probably join Dumbstar in the straitjacket.

I don't judge a poster on just one post. Anyway, enough of the insults.

I've made some salient points, i.e. you deserve the luck you're getting now as you've had rotten luck for most of the season. But don't confuse luck with good play. Surely that's a fair point.

Or am I being Too Bias, or are you Too Bias, or am I, or are you?

If United win Sunday, there's no chance Liverpool are catching us with the players we have coming back and further possible January signings.

Ha! Well done. At the beginning of the season, I predicted: Liverpool would be shit and not finish in the top 4 - proving true. United would finish in the top 4 - proving true. I have no delusion, just a coherent mind that can see things for what they are.

I'm just kidding, by the way - in terms of thickness, retardation etc. In fact, I'll edit that post. But still, come on, you can't be criticising United when Liverpool are in the mess they are in.

I agree we didn't play well - we were awful. But still, it was destined to be a tough match and we're in third place. To be laughing at us is just silly.

Well done you! What did you predict last season?

When you have players like RVP chances are you will get lucky now and again.

You lot arent going to get many lucky wins with Lambert,Balotelli up front.

Just so we can be fair on you. Did you predict Utd would finish in top 4 the summer before last and that Liverpool would be nowhere near CL spots? Its a valid question because then we can decide if you repeat the same mantra and just hit right when you hit lucky. (Not that you've been proven right this season yet either).

Can't remember. Top 4, probably. But I quickly revised that around this time last year. It's pretty obvious when things have gone to shit - a la Liverpool this season.

Yeah, I definitely did, like most people. But, like I say, I soon became pretty pessimistic come November and knew we were on a slippery slope. As for Liverpool, I don't think anybody saw that coming, and I was one of the few to applaud Rodgers for last season. But now, it's looking like Suarez's influence was greater than Rodgers'. Of course, Sturridge being out has been a massive blow.

Again, I want to apologise for the insults. Didn't realise it read so blunt when I first typed it. I was genuinely joking.

LOL at the scousers in here. If they had the injuries we had they would probably be in the relegation zone. As it is, we will be 10 points ahead come Sunday evening. Enjoy.

I didn't pick up on any insults. But thanks anyway. Sunday will be brilliant with both supporters absolutely bricking it. Never have bragging rights been more important.

Indeed. And should you win, I will gladly accept all manner of mocking.

With that back three, I'm almost worried for you. Imagine replacing a shithouse Mane with Sterling.

The trouble for you there is that the rest of your team are inferior to Southampton in pretty much every position.

They gave us a game because they have a talented side with a good manager. And we were shit. As you lack talent and your manager's a fraud, you'll have to pray we're even shitter than tonight!

I had put a key comparison together and deleted it. But with glee, here was tonight's team:

Forster (played like a worse version of Mignolet)
Fonte (Toure)
Yoshida (Skrtel)
Steven Fcking Davies (Gerrard)
Wanyama (Lucas)
Long (Lallana?)
Mane (Sterling)
Pelle (poor man's Lambert)

The best they had on the pitch were Clyne and Bertrand and they were hardly pulling up trees tonight. Don't be fooled, this was a very poor Southampton team (barring maybe Tadic who couldn't lay on simple through balls in the first half). Yet they totally and literally dominated you. They have a talented side, like you say, but that talented side did not play tonight. And the manager has been found out (Ipswich/Burley ringing any bells?)

Every single one of those players beats the Liverpool counterpart this season, except perhaps Sterling (who himself has gone off the boil). They're just better and will very likely finish above you. Not that that makes them a great side. It just makes them better than shit.

This post definitely isn't going to backfire.

It must frustrate Liverpool to see United playing poorly but still winning matches while 'pool play poorly but lose and draw at home. Anyway, big few days coming up for Liverpool. Will be interesting to see how they go.

We already know how the Liverpool game is going to be.

- Rojo will become the new Vidic and get a red card

- Gerrard will get his obligatory penalty

- An average player like Lucas will probably deliver a world class performance all out of the blue

- The United players will look like they've suddenly forgot that they are playing the club's historically biggest rival, and play like it was an away game at West Brom.

- In the end however, these things won't matter because the game in itself will as always be a disappointment and one team will win by 1 (or two at the most) goals.
