Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

All these sage geniuses on Twitter would have predicted a harder season for Rodgers without Suarez but I bet not a single one of them would have predicted we'd lose 6 games to fodder teams. Not a single one of them.

I know it was a very disappointing result for us, but if you'd said before the competiton we only needed to win vs Basel at home to go through, I would've taken it. Only our worrying form (an understatement sadly enough) is bothering me. Dutch and Belgium analists both agreed Basel were favourites to advance and I can't really disagree with them at the moment. Let's hope we catch some momentum before that game.

hehe.

It'll get busy again after the Stoke game gasmanc. For one reason or another.

My friend just sent me a text saying he put a bet on a Charlie Adam goal vs Liverpool tomorrow. I hope it's a screamer too, if it happens.

If Gerrard plays will that be three 90 minute matches in a week?

You've been the one always calling for us fragile mancs to stand and be counted when the goings tough, you and Barney stand alone and lets face it your more out than in recently ;)
Come tell us how the Rogerlution needs not a Suarez nor even a more than more than mediocre replacement, tell us of how, it's the "system"

Bloody hell, you won't even let me have a Christmas party and recovery period? Well I'm still here under 24 hours. Not much to say, we'll play Gerrard and you lot will probably laugh lots tomorrow.

It's wonderful isn't it? they were out in their droves for practically the entire of last season. Rubbing it in, talking about their SNS stats, how Rodgers' system was future proof ect.

There's no better crowd of fans that you enjoy seeing fall flat on their arses.

Don't get all bitter upon our asses, I personally am not one for told you so's but fuk, even Stevie bastard Wonder saw this coming :wenger:

It's so bad that I'm going into games expecting us to lose. Watching us today is almost certainly going to be a struggle.

It has been quite the turn-around on here regarding our scouse posters. All summer they were full of it, now we bearly hear a peep out of them.

To be fair, what can they say? The team's playing utter crap, the manager seems to be struggling to know what to do about it, and stevie me hasn't got the balls of a Neville to call time himself to solve one of brentans problems.

By the 5th game of the season these were the issues, and they will be all season. There are only so many times you can say it, and very pool supporter is well aware of it.

It's great isn't it? Enjoying this after the shit we had to put up with last season.

Hah. Now you know how we felt for large parts of last season.
Let's get it right. Now we know how they've felt for the whole existence of the premier league.

They won't come out from their holes to let us enjoy it properly though.
I was strictly told that it was Brentan and his system and that the sale of Suarez wouldn't affect their charge back to glory, I wasn't so sure myself

It wasn't Suarez, it's the system is like saying it wasn't Russia, it was Jude Law getting one over Ed Harris.

Liverpool twitter had a pretty hilarious tweet earlier.
Asking is there a better full back in the world than Glen Johnson lol.

They had no shots on goal in their first half apparently. Not sure how they won eventually.

The first half was abysmal (from both sides). Nothing happened. Sterling created a couple of nice chances, but there was no one on the end of them. Second half was good. Bojan was brilliant for them (and he looked their only really decent outlet). He had one chance that hit the post and another where he hit a ridiculous strike and Mignolet looked to have made a ridiculous save. In the second half we played at a faster tempo and we could have had four or five had we taken our chances (and some of them were sitters). Thought some of Henderson's passing was exceptional. He looks so much more expressive when Gerrard isn't in the side.

No Gerrard and we look like we can put five past teams without conceding. Someone send a No Shit Sherlock tweet to Brendan please.

Yet you only had 3 shots on target, less than Stoke, and didn't score until Stevie was on the pitch.

Surely you must enjoy losing? I find the moaning after a loss...cathartic.

Admittedly, there was something enjoyable about constantly criticising Moyes in his thread last season at times...

Well, there you go. Funny how quickly we can find happiness in (relative) adversity. Our brains have a lot to answer for.

Losing > winning.

It's easier to cope with losing here than in real life. If you're in the general public and your team lose, you've probably got lots of mates who will take the piss out of you after it happens. On a club forum, that's not really the case.

True but the more you lose the quicker you develop a thicker skin. That said, I've always enjoyed the piss taking. It is after all...only a game.

Rodgers praises 'incredible reds'

Doesn't take much to please that numpty does it?

Brendan Rodgers said it was a solid win, I didn't watch it but if he is being honest then fair play to them, it's not an easy situation for them but getting points is the way to change it.

At this stage of the season though the performance is important, Liverpool seem to have some very winnable games so they could find themselves making some ground.

Had the finishing been better we would have though which is his point.

You also had less possession, at home, against Stoke...

Less possession, less shots on target. Seems more like Stoke were unlucky to leave empty handed.
