Don't get the whinging about him myself. He's supposed to be 3rd or 4th choice centre back which he's perfectly fine for. Not his fault the lads ahead of him are all sick notes and he ends up getting way more minutes than he should be getting. Solid pro and seems to have a good attitude; never hear him crying in the media or doing foolish shit for instagram likes.
All that is fine until people start talking about him as a underrated quality defender who should be a starter and that being fine for the club.

If he is 4th choice and the ones in front aren't sicknotes then there isn't a problem.

Villarreal and Emery play more of a deeper block, no? Pau Torres is good on the ball and seems an alright defender, but in terms of aggressive, higher-line one v one isolations, I think he falls short compared to Martinez who obviously has that as his main skill set (pardon the pun).
You are completely right, I prefer Martinez mind.

Well done to Ajax if that fee is correct, upwards of €50m guaranteed is terrific business by them

Do Ajax announce the fees when they sell players? Will be interesting to see if so.

About £45m with add ons is what is being reported by the Dutch reporters. It'll be interesting to see what United journos report.

But i'll be honest, I'm happy with this signing because he's a brilliant 'footballer' first and foremost.

That’s bullshit. That guy is Ajax’s mouth piece. Of course he is going to inflate numbers.

So you will believe the United's mouth pieces from England if the fee is lower?

Ajax usually report the fee, so it's easy to see the official figures.

For transfers above a certain amount, I think Ajax is required to. This one obviously qualifies for that, so I expect Ajax to report the fee.

Reliable Dutch sources now report €54m+10m. Insane amount. Did not expect it to turn out this high.

Who exactly is United’s mouthpiece? This guy literally said EtH needs to be careful to not keep buying Ajax’s players, when we were linked with Anthony and Timber as well, because that would hurt his legacy at Ajax. You see any British journalists talking like that?
