Horrible news about his injury. I didn’t watch the game and wasn’t too fussed about yet another loss as I just expect it now. Thus injury is terrible though. Hoping it’s not as bad as everyone fears.

It's a disaster in all honesty, all that has been good the last few weeks has come from his build up play from the back. We badly need Shaw fit now as technically no other player in our cb lineup come close to him technically.

This could cost us our shot at the Europa.

Any news about the injury? Is it the same leg as before?

We won't get an official diagnosis for another 24-48 hours when the swelling has stabilized, but Licha is certainly done for the season and I would say probably for the next 12 months.

Same knee again. He knew straight away. Even if it's just a meniscus injury, I still don't think he will be able to play before the summer. While I was not getting worried about his previous injuries, as they were all different and most not muscular, now I'm worried, and we can probably put him in the semi-injury-prone players. This is now 3 big injuries since he's been with us.

Gutted. Harsh but enough of these injury prone players, if the right bid comes in let him go.

Finally getting a run of form and he gets hurt again. Hard to see that ever changing at this point. Really unfortunate

I don't want to take something away from the guy. He clearly is very good on the ball. I honestly was just point out the fact that defenders can look even better than they are in some stats just because of their positioning. Don't know if you know that packing stat that was around a few years ago. It is still around as far as I know but didn't make it to the public level. This was also dominated by CBs who were good on the ball and made lots of passes. They add up.

My personal assessment of Martinez is, that he is very very good on the ball but not so far away from the rest that it becomes an actual asset to us (or at least we haven't played in a way to capitalize on that) and that this ability on the ball comes with a few disadvantages off of it.

Dunno man, it's not his fault that many of his "assists" are wasted.

At the same time his defensive side was always great and when he wasn't at his best form quite an agenda was created. Like Amorín and any coach will say he has the right personality, for him and for his mates.

Anyway really gutted that he gets injured again, seems he never got his feet entirely back since day one. It's not a question of the physicality of the League, un fact south America in such regard is rougher, but looks like when he rushed some recoveries the injury sometimes ends having a secondary effect on a new one.

On the NT seems we are never gotta get rid of Otamendi.

Yeah you worry if he can come back again

Personally I think he’s one of our best players and a brilliant all round footballer. His ball control and distribution are special. Yes he isn’t the biggest and sometimes his lack of size/ speed gets exposure against a certain profile of attacker on form. But most defenders do have flaws and overall he’s terrific.

Terrible news about the injury. You do have to wonder if hell ever stay fit long enough to reach his full potential.

You could see it on his face as he was carried off that this is a real serious one.

It wasn’t a look of pain it was the look of someone who just had their hopes shattered. Absolutely gutting to see and wish him a speedy recovery.

He was really starting to look the part and back to his best too.

Terrible to see he got injured. Been much better lately but if it's another serious injury then it's really damaging for his career.. Shame..

If it is another year out, I think his time is over here. Probably come back for a couple of games before being offloaded

He's been better lately, but just brutal. I feel for him.

But the club shouldn't bank on him going forward. It's cruel, but he's too injury prone and I'm not sure he'll recover well from this.

More money the club need to try and find from down back of the sofa.

Kind of expected this. A shame. He was probably our best player in the last few weeks.. a main goal threat too. We just have to keep it moving, other players have to step up. Let's get him fixed.

The extra annoying thing is two injuries he's had are from being fouled. This one was nowhere near as bad as the Coufal one where he just fell on his knee, but still he gets tugged back which over extends his leg and his knee goes. Sarr gets no punishment, plays next game without a care and Licha looks like he's out for the season.

Will he be back before Mount? All kidding aside hated seeing him in tears like that. Hope it’s not as bad as it loomed.

Jesus, we are beyond fecked this season now if anybody could reasonably say we weren't already.

Genuinely, we are pretty lucky that there are three really bad sides in the league this season. I'm not even wholly confident that we'll finish above 16th with Licha out.

That's Dalot penciled in as LCB for the foreseeable future. He's the turd that won't flush.
