Why the feck are people discussing Tom Brady in the Messi thread?

Because our owners signed the biggest star in American Football. The biggest star in proper football now wants to leave clubs and our owners may fancy another go.

It’s a pipe dream but it’s not such nonsense that it’s not worth mentioning

The difference between this man's talent and mentality is staggering.

Neymar/Messi swap deal seems realistic, although if Messi legally wins the case to walk away anything could happen

Why would PSG even bother with that swap. If anything I reckon they will tell Barcelona “here is 150m and we will spare you the embarrassment of having to let him go for free”.

Messi will get exactly what he needs in Paris too...2 speed demons to play with.

Sign him on a 2 years deal, 104 mill spread over two seasons. Easy. We’ve just offset Sanchez’s wages.

We did bung Sanchez a rumoured 9-10m in fairness too. So it wasn't quite as good as we thought.

For those wondering what BuroFax is, that’s a service offered by the Spanish mail which is used to send urgent documents. It’s signed by all parties involved, and can be used as proof in court if needed.
Cheers mate. That’s a good bit of info that.

I wouldn't say that Brady is the biggest star in American Football today. That would be Mahomes.

You do get that slight feeling that Ed has been waiting his whole life to bring this level of star in.

Messi #7

Coming here, winning the PL with us and reviving the 7 shirt again. Challenging Ronaldo's status here. Do it

You know if we did get him, United fans would be in the unique authority on the question of Ronaldo vs Messi on football forums. The most important reason for Ed to make it happen:devil:

Alright, let me put this another way, who would we leave out to accommodate Messi? Who would need to play in order to feed him opportunities?

I imagine Messi at the right wing and Greenwood/Martial/Rashford rotating the other two positions?

Lionel Messi joins United, gets paid 21 million a year. Wins the league in 2021. 21st United league title and his 21st big title. Wins his 7th Ballon d'Or (21 is divisable by 7). He was handed a 21 month suspended prison sentence. It's the 21st century. Couldn't be more obvious.

Truly exceptional Muppeting here

Brad play for Bucaneers?

Was thinking the same, tbh

I know its probably worthless to get ones hopes up on this, but from footballing point of view he would be a great fit for our attack. We have quite a few young ones and having a player of stature of Messi is bound to help them grow massively in the long-term. And in the short-term, the Rashfords and Martials of our team can do the leg work to create space for Messi to do this magic. I really would take him in a heart beat but of course its very very unlikely.

He already signed for nk Ratar Piškorevci.

We have more than 1 of each?

You drop Greenwood, put Messi on the right but with full freedom to roam, and we go another decade without a plan to attack from the right flank.

According to @GerGarciaGrova, some directors have asked Bartomeu to resign and some others have resigned themselves.
