Is it weird that when I heard this story my first thought wasn’t “we should sign him”, it was “Why is he sending a fax? It’s 2020, hasn’t he heard of email?”.?

I've read about it some while ago, apparently there's a legit reason for fax in these type of communications. Can't remember why.

:D

Koeman's cajones have to be the size of the Iberian peninsula if that report is true   :eek:

I don’t think wages is what he should even care about this point in his career. He has more money then he could spend in 10 lifetimes. He wants trophies and be surrounded by competent players that can get him his CL trophy again.

Love MLS' admins. They know how to have fun.

Think it's because a fax counts a legal document, but an email doesn't.

Something like that anyway.

Don't do this to you guys. We had enough with CR7 and we know how it turned out. He would rather prefer a stable club at its peak where he can just be that missing piece.

Lets be honest- he is not coming here to play a counter attacking game. He needs the ball and would prefer a team that dominates the ball.

Ah, could be. I mean, there's quite clearly a legit reason since these major clubs wouldn't use it just for shits and giggles.

Conspiracy theory: Messi's forming a alliance with Font and Xavi for the 2021 presidential election. Koeman has a year to clean up some of the mess and build a new formation, whilst Messi goes somewhere else for a season. Font announces that part of his presidency would be getting Messi back. By doing so, he wins the elections, Messi comes back as the lost son (as a big FU to Bartomeu) to a team with a new foundation. In the process, he has shown he can do it somewhere else, and can retire in a couple of seasons as a absolute legend.

Well the one thing is how much are his wages currently? How much will they be? Isn't he on something crazy like 500 or 600 k?

Pffft, they reckoned Sanchez was on that.
Try over a mill a week

Ed's going to chase Messi for the remainder of the window and end up signing no one.

Scenes when the silence on our signings front is broken by a "Here we go" from Romano!

Christ I'd hate it if we signed Messi. His work rate looks terrible these days plus he's 33 and would cost a horrific wage we'd be unable to offload.

Hate it.
