He's not a United fan.Really? You love the idea of Man City winning the next two PL titles.

Messi had some incredible knockout games before 2015 in the CL, come on now.Cristiano has dominated him in the CL year after year, it's not even debatable. I think these messi fanboys here are full of delusion if you think he's the best ever. Not even the best player in World Cup History,(Pele), not the best in Champions League history(Cristiano). The two biggest competitions in Football. He'd be on 3 CL if it weren't for Ronaldinho and Eto'o in 06. He's certainly the Pep Guardiola of players.
Cause if there's one thing Utd fans love, it's a 500k/w 34 year old player who walks around showing no passion, workrate, or desiah.Go on SAF, have a cheeky word and ask him to come to United.
If he really wants out of Barcelona which actually seems pretty credible this time given source and Bayern crushing, where will he be playing next season ?
City, Utd or PSG maybe ? Seem most likely, no other teams can afford him and good for marketing if not working off the ball.

Yup, but I'm not sure our fans will take to him. We seem to love passion, workrate, and youth a bit too much. He’s 33 and twice as good as any United player.

Look up Utd's motto.Didn’t see any of that today so you might be wrong
Messi in Manchester isn't a go? Say it ain't so!He’d never come here.
I have been on here for 12 years and posted some shit and read even more, but this has to be one of the worst post I have ever read in any thread, including any match day thread.Cristiano has dominated him in the CL year after year, it's not even debatable. I want to see him and Cristiano in the same team. Go to PSG both of you.
So they're going to play Neymar, Mbappe, Messi and Ronaldo in the same team?

Yeah Ronaldo had early exits this year and last year (no fault of his own) but let’s be honest, he’s generally far, far ahead of Messi when it comes to the CL. He holds almost every record imaginable in the competition and has almost double the number of goals in the KO stages. Even the staunchest Messi can’t argue this. The single most pathetic post in RedCafe history. Ronaldo has had early exits in CL this year and last. Messi got further than him both times.

Oh, Ronaldo is definitely the greatest CL player of all time. Just surprised at the number of Ronaldo trolls coming into this thread
I wouldnt say definitely. Nobody has more 10/10 and more MOTM performances tha Messi on the CL, and nobody comes close. Last 6 years have really diminished Messi's reputation on the CL but i dont think CR7 has been that much better than him there.
Why wouldnt he want to play for the biggest team in the best league in the world?I find it hilarious that here we have fans talking about like, we don't need Messi, what makes you think Messi would want to come to Manchester in first place? Unless we pay him disgusting amount of wages equalling or surpassing his current amount.

He’s not leaving, his family is far too settled in Barcelona. He’s doing this to force the board to resign and call for new elections that are desperately needed.
And it’s working.
Or maybe realised finally he's a big part of the problem now, doesn't matter how many hundreds of millions Barcelona waste on transfers, still going to get crushed in the big CL games away from the nou camp every year. I think it's over.
He'll try to leave, if any other club wants to and can afford to take him on in the current situation we'll find out.

Stats on this run until January this season, but it shows something rather incredible. It's been a curious time for Barcelona; never have they been so toothless and poor, but look at Messi's contributions, even when compared to his peak and it's astonishing.
- 2nd best season ever in terms of goal contributions per 90 minutes.
- His xG for assists was massively better than any season in the past.
- His 3rd best season in terms of key passes.
- Fewer attempted through-balls and passes into the box overall, whilst maintaining assist ratio.
- Heat maps online show that his average position places him almost exclusively outside the opposition box and mostly in central midfield deep. Still maintains scoring ratio of a world class striker despite this.
- Last three years has gone from 9% to 15% converted free-kicks. That's a massive jump.
Whatever is said about Barcelona, or even Messi in his 30's, it's quite clear that he's better than ever.
He’ll run down his contract and then go to Qatar, US or China
He won't go to either of those 3 countries.
After he leaves Barcelona, he's returning to Argentina and playing for Newell's Old Boys.
