what stats cant take into account though is the elegance and magic that you felt when maradonna was on the ball - like gazza he played as if he was the best kid in school and just wanted to tear up the playground! plattini Zidane Ronaldo are all great players and you can make an argument for any of them being as good / better if you want - but Zico, Maradonna and Messi just have that special spark when they get the ball - well for me anyway and no stats can ever show that
