Lionel Messi

There's paying respect (not that Messi's dead), then there's posting around 500 times in a single thread about the player, behind only in numbers to a huge self confessed Messi fan boy and a Ronaldo fan boy, who no doubt racked up a lot of posts just arguing about who was better. How you then can claim not to be a fan boy and have the cheek to even type up a post like the one below, is beyond me:

Err KM posted several of his posts whereby you can see he quite clearly dislikes both Real and Barca.

I've claimed Messi to be the greatest player of all time. Surely that makes me some sort of fan boi?

Outside United I'm a huge ozil fan boi, the list goes on but I'm not down with forming allegiance to other clubs over it.

That's when it's going to far as those on the wall of shame.

And your new stance is just ficking bizarre. We've had many arguments on here over your pro Barca stance even when Busquets did hos antics against Inter last year so where the feck is this new version of your online personality come from?!?!

Nope I've only paid respect to a great team. I've never once in my disgustingly high posts said I like this team but you Ronaldo/sudden Madrid fans would imagine it all you want.

I paid respect to Real when they won the Copa del Rey and I was called a real fan.

When Madrid play well I congratulating them for it but you Ronaldo fans can't stand it any sort of kudos that goes Barca's way. All since the 80 million transfer right?

Paying respect is not the same as constantly posting about them and blogging about them. Fans can often see that opposition players/teams are praise worthy and they do so appropriately. They don't spend hours on end typing up a wall of text, analysing them, blogging about them:wenger:

I don't mind, they don't even know how to single me out and lads like cina only feel guilty.

As long as Messi is by the best player in the world I'll pay homage to his incredible ability.

i do mind, this thread is in the football discussion forum, not in the poster discussion forum

Marcos is right. This is being unnecessarily personalised. Should stick to talking about Messi.

In defence of Boss, though, he's a massive fanboi of a few different players including Messi and Ozil. I think this is slightly different to people who go on to support a specific team (and dislike their rivals) on the basis of one player who happens to be on their books. I haven't seen that sort of behaviour from Boss at all.

Nail meets head.

The exact people I was talking about in the OP, although I could've expressed it better and there are a very large number on the Caf.

But you haven't pointed out my utter hypocrisy that's the problem. You've failed to grasp anything in the op of the thread I made.

But seriously where is the old DF who was constantly pro Barca even in situations like Buquets vs Inter?

Never a bad word which is why ibfind this new DF hilarious!

Boss, until you making that thread, I've never had a pop at you for your unhealthy interest with La Liga/Barca/Messi but you then felt the need to single posters out in a new individual thread, when you're in absoultely no position to talk.

You also conveniently ignored KM's posts showing that he was anything but a Real fan.

Oh and as for me having defended Barca in the past, I've done so when I've felt that the underlying reasons behind people criticising them was just jealousy. Like when someone said that their sponsorship deal was just a PR stunt, I disagreed and a fair few agreed with my assesment, hardly fan boy-ish.

The fact that I've also been critical of Barca on various topics inspite of defending them at times should show that I'm not a fan boy.

Mateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, we've had so many arguments on your constant pro barca stance even regarding blatant cheating like Busquets vs Inter or the fact you were banging on about how they didn't spend money to win the treble so saying 'supporters' regarding me is just hilarious.

You were actually upset when I wrote Arsenal off.

I can truly expose you here, so I don't know why you..

Of all peopleeee to say I have an unhealthy interest in Barca:wenger:

No?

This can't be for real?!

Is this a trick?!!

Those posters deserved to be singled out for the exact reasons Pogue reitterated. If you have a prblem with it, adress what I was referring to instead of being Mr Hypocritical.

Well then there must have been a fair few people who "misunderstood" as you were rightfully ridiculed by the vast majority.

The majority of people in the thread did.

but the ones that I listed in the OP didn't and neither did Brad or Pogue who have seen what I'm on about with their own eyes.

Can you expose me too please?

Generally speaking yes.

Don't know what it is but I must be the only person in the world who can't take to the little fella.

He's a fantastic dribbler of the ball but that's it for me.

This is the problem with Messi - every other attribute of his is overlooked simply because he has one which is so much better than everyone else's on the planet. As well as being an absolute phenomenon in terms of his dribbling, he is also the best finisher in the world (finishing constituing more than just shooting), has one of the best touches in the world, has incredible vision and excellent passing, and is probably as strong as Toure on the ball.

In short, the guy is fecking mental. The culmination of his attributes already makes him one of the best playmakers in football history, but the fact that he gets so much productivity out of his talent is mad. There is now quite a clear difference between him and every other player in world football.

I'm worried about him for the final if we make it. Funny enough four years back I wasn't very because we had beaten them the previous year. This time evras not in the best of form and wes is not at his best so the pressure on Ferdinand and vidic will be incredible.

Scary stuff.

More importantly I think is the fact Messi has improved in every area since the final in Rome

Seems so. But I think we handled him very well those two years. Problem with Barca is they have others who are right up there as well. Iniesta's performance in that final still haunts me a little to be honest. Can't quite get over how amazing he was and how bad he made us look. Rooney's reaction was to call the latter the best player in the world. And personally I fear Iniesta even more in a big game.

So basically if we make it to the final I'm going to be a complete mess.

He never gets tired or something ? Just checked the lineups and again he started

He seems more obsessed with the Pichichi than Ronaldo, or perhaps Pep is more willing to let him do what he likes than Jose.

if ronaldo wants the pichichi, ronaldo wants it

if messi wants the pichichi, messi is obsessed

:nono: For a change I definitely wasn't having a go at Messi.

I thought that Ronaldo was obsessed with the pichichi, and Messi not so much.

So either Jose has more control over his players, or I was wrong about Messi.

Messi definitely is a bit of a freak when it comes to his fitness record. Pretty much played non stop for the last 3 seasons.

i still love you

anyway, i still want to face barcelona in the CL final, so i want messi to play as many games before so he's really tired then

will make our victory much impressive, plus, i don't want to be happy because ronie lost
