Half your quotes from all these so called experts are "Oh Messi is the most talented" (Talent does not equate to brilliance), "Oh, I love to watch Messi" (Perhaps they fancy him, you certainly do!!) "Oh, Messi is the most similar to Maradona" (Does not mean he's nearly as good).

It's my honest opinion that you're in fact of below average intelligence, perhaps you'd get yourself checked out and show us some facts.

There isnt other options, why consider them. I know you were probably on the fence, you can see a good player Kouroux but right now you know as well as me that Messi is the best around and unless something strange happens (which can in football) he'll remain the best around.

No I don't know that, I know he's been the best last season but will he continue with his form ? I fecking don't know and I surely say he will.
Will there another player to step up his game to a very high level ? Maybe, maybe not, footballers' form comes and goes from season to seasons and this is why I can't Messi will be the best. I can only judge on what's been done
 
Fair enough, i dont think it takes all that much to judge a player. You watch them play for a bit and you get a sense of the player they are.

It's not bold to think Messi is the best, it's not bold to think he can go on and win many things and be recognized as a great of the game. It's really not bold to do these things. Every football fan is entitled to make these predictions.

If Pele can routinely make himself look like a twat by doing so then who the hell am i not to do it? ;)

These are the facts.

Messi and Ronaldo are both brilliant players, brilliant in their own way, yet so different in playing style, playing in 2 leagues, facing different oppositions. Till now, they have more or less achieved same accolades in their careers, except maybe Olympics gold.

Since they never played against each other all that much, we can only compare their seasons and one player has been extremely good in one, and the other player has a phenomenal season the next.

Forgive me, but if you ask me, there's nothing to choose between the players, at least till now. We are just rating their seasons and not the players anyway. For all we know, Ronaldo might have a blinder next season and Messi flopping like a pony, and vice versa. Then will you bare yourself naked and tattoo Ronaldo's name on your dick? No, didn't think so.

You like a player who dribbles, somebody likes a player who's direct, and the only way to rate them is their accolades, and there's nothing much to choose.

In spite of these facts, if you say that whoeever doesn't agree with you doesn't have a clue, you sire, thou art the very specimen that should be labelled as 'not having a clue', 'retard who is not open to a conversation', and names likewise.

He's not really, he's gotten worse as this thread goes on but for the best part of a year he was perfectly reasonable(albeit he enjoyed sensationalising some of the things Messi did/will do a bit much).

Spammy's an excellent poster.
 
Over the last 3 years I don't think Messi's had a season as bad as Ronaldo did last year.

Ronaldo was good last season, but Messi was very good for the first two seasons and excellent for the last one. Ronaldo was excellent for the first two and just good for the last one.

Just throwing it out there. Could hint that Messi's more consistent.

Would agree with that, though I'm not sure if it was Ronaldo's ankle injury that he was carrying during the end of 08 that set him back.

Perhaps, as Doug Stanhope would say, he was just out of shit. :p

Over the last 3 seasons, Messi missed a matches worth one full season and plus a little maybe. Yes he consistent, with injuries.
