Lets laugh at Liverpool

SAF standing in front of the CL banner isn't the greatest picture really.

The great man can stand in front of anywhere he likes and he graces whatever banner in the background and makes any pictures with him in them great in any circumstances. :)

I'd have to say attracting players wouldn't be a problem, Kenny just hasn't bought well.

Doesn't that then kind of show that its true though?

Look at some of the targets they've been linked with in the last couple of years.
Among those are ridiculous speculative hopefuls including Sergio Aguero, David Villa and Edinson Cavani. Hell they even had a hope to sign Juan Manuel Mata..

While they aren't in the Champions League and looking like really crumbling if some players leave they're not going to be signing those 'next teir' players. All of these type of players turned them down (if even approached, just rumors to go on).

I agree Kenny hasn't bought well but another excuse is the fact there is no Champions League to offer that next level. This will only attract those players who know of Liverpool's history and 'want' to go and play there. They're going to have to make a decision of wanting to go there which is also a struggle to secure a certain level of players.

The biggest and most 'out of their hands' problem is the fact that in 20 years they have had very little success. If it goes another decade then nearly an entire generation has gone by without the historical success and kids are going to grow up and the 16/17/18/19 year olds even now are starting to grow into a world where United has dominated English football and Liverpool are nobodies.

They're playing a dangerous game. A time where shrewd buys and players that galvanize the system and the club and some inward development is needed they still seem to be looking to just go bull-at-a-gate at chasing that glory.

I personally don't think their fans will ever accept that they are in trouble even if they are relegated. That's a huge burden to any further 'non legend' or 'up and coming' managers. The fans are 3/4 of the problem, they expect too much in too short a time. Satisfying them is like trying to satisfying a giant with a tadpole.

So much fouling of the more skillful Wigan players. So much hoofing. Liverpool were like a more expensive Stoke.

They're still have a good season you know. They won the League Cup like.

Liverpool currently lie in 7th place on 42 points, currently 3 points ahead of 10th placed Swansea and 11th placed Norwich, who are both on 39 points.

They are in real danger of slipping even further down to mid-table mediocrity.

So to sum up.................:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

So. Liverpool had more points after 30 games last season. :D

Spare a thought for Enrique and Carrol who thought a move to Liverpool is a step up.

Funny that now. Doubt either of them thought that they'd be making a step down when they went to Liverpool. Shows how good Newcastle have been, and how poor Liverpool have been this season.

tbf when they let go of Barton, Nolan & Enrique; it seemed Newcastle have snapped; but wow, ain't that a surprise to see them in 6th Position.

The way Pardew managed the transfer was excellent. He got a lot for Carroll, and sold on players who were nowhere near as good as most of us thought they were, like Barton aznd Nolan. Both of them were good last season, however Cabaye is a much better midfielder than both, without any shadow of a doubt. Enrique was the only genuine 'loss' for them in my opinion. The deal for Ba was a masterpiece. To sell one player for £35m, and buy his replacement, who is much better, for nothing, is a masterful transfer.

I wish I could find that giant green laughing smiley I made :(

And Cabaye comes at lot lower wages than both of them.

And If Santon's potential is anything to go by, he would be better than Enrique.

He could be better for Newcastle than what Enrique was. Thing is, since going to Liverpool, Enrique has continued to get better and better. Up there with some of the best left backs in the world at the moment. Definitely inside the top 5.

Liverpool under Dalglish is the main reason why I don't want a former legend as United-manager when Ferguson retires.

This summary is very nice! It will send the Scousers to further melt down.:lol:

I don't think we should be deterred. I fancy a United Legend will do a much better job for us than Dalglish for Pool. My gut feeling.

Depends which one in all honesty. If that legend is a great manager, then I'm all for it, but if they're not, then it could be dangerous, as we won't feel as if we can sack them right on the spot if they deserve it.

A once grand ballroom that fell into disrepair, it was a location where ladies of a certain vintage relived their golden days, throwing on the lipstick for one more shot at rapture alongside a fresh generation. Every now and again they would strike lucky too, as visitors in awe of the sheer novelty value of the 'grab a granny nights’ succumbed to its particular charms.

In so many ways, Liverpool Football Club have something in common with the ladies of The Grafton.

They are like an old lush, sat in the corner telling the world how attractive and marvellous they are, utterly affronted when anyone blind to their natural beauty suggests otherwise. Friends, lovers and acquaintances nod enthusiastically each time the club attest to their own greatness, but neutrals and rivals think their better days have long since passed.
