England did a lot right in this tournament but absolutely the worst thing, the worst thing, was appropriating the song Sweet Caroline. It's an innocent song about Neil's love for Caroline and should in no way be associated with Stirling diving, or laser pens or Prince William.

Well I certainly don't want to defend them regarding racism. But I only experienced it on a club level, not regarding the national team.
And regarding the generalizations: well I've seen enough of the points in my post also on this board (remember the thread defending booing your opponents anthem and insulting all fans of other countries because it's funny and just belongs to football?) and more than enough on social media.
Certainly not every English fan acted like a cnut but it's not the small minority you make it out to be.
I feel for the "good English fans", after all as a Bayern fan I know how it feels to lose a final at your home ground.
But big parts of your fans left a very bad impression, in the stadiums, here and on social media.
