If Mahrez is going for £75m I don't think paying 100 for Bale is way off the mark.We have so many holes to fill to be spending €100m+ on a player.
Mourinho please see sense.

I'm not saying he's overpriced. Saying hope signing Bale doesn't leave holes elsewhere in the team.If Mahrez is going for £75m I don't think paying 100 for Bale is way off the mark.
Since you seem to be ITK, do you mind sharing the size of the transfer budget with the rest of us? How much is 80%? 100 mill, 150 mill?
Prices quoted for Bale is more than 100m euros, so lets say 115m euros plus a hefty sign on fee.
Our cap for the last few years has been roughly 170m euros, so anything from 70% and up on a player that is crocked half the year and would take up the wages of three very good first teamers with his reported 600k\week.
So tell me, where do you now find the funds for Fred\LB\RB\another CM?
I do wonder whether that's a big concern though. The club hasn't held back on any transfers that I can recall in the last couple seasons. Perisic being the only player we didn't land and that I felt was likely because Jose didn't feel compelled to push Woodward to get swindled by Inter.I'm not saying he's overpriced. Saying hope signing Bale doesn't leave holes elsewhere in the team.
The old shirt sales myth? Seriously?I have absolutely no idea about our transfer budget. But neither do you, and that was my point. Maybe it's €170m. Maybe it's €220m. It depends on the players available, both how good they are on the pitch, but also how good they are at making money for the club.
I'm not saying Bale is worth an infinite amount of money, but he will make us _a lot_ better and sell a million jerseys at the same time.
Especially since sheep don't even wear football shirts.I hope the majority of people who mention that myth are taking the piss at this point.
If it helps in fixing our attack and banging goals in then nobody would really care about other holes in the squad. We have so many holes to fill to be spending €100m+ on a player.

How do you know?Woodward will go after Douglas Costa if he can't get Bale. So which would you prefer.
How do you know?
Juventus will be buying him from Bayern this summer. Taking up the option to buy. Pass on the weed.because he want's to sign a winger (a marquee Player) and If Bale changes his mind and goes to Bayern, we will go for Costa.

Man Utd ready to meet £80m asking price for explosive Bayern Munich winger
According to reports, Man United have shown interest in paying a £80m fee, which Bayern Munich currently demands for letting Douglas Costa go.
Brazil international signed for Germans in 2015, but he currently plays in Juve, where he moved on a loan deal last year. He played the whole season of 2017-2018 in Juventus and managed to score seven goals and provide his teammates with thirteen assists

So what you are saying is, those people that would buy a bale united shirt, won't buy a united shirt if he doesn't come? Do you not think those people would buy a united shirt anyway? What myth? I know we barely make a penny directly from shirt sales. But Adidas do. And Chevy surley appreciate it. Selling a ton of jerseys is a bit important when negociating our next shirt sponsors. It also helps building our brand.
Maybe this guy is doing the weed.

You are on a forum where you get close to authentic information about transfers. Don't just believe whatever the press is spouting. CR7 would have joined us every summer if you believe them.
I know. But what I'm saying is most of those fans won't go out their way to buy a shirt just to have bale on the back would they, but wouldn't buy one because he doesn't play for us? I bet the majority are buying a shirt anyway regardless of who plays for the club. Not everyone, no. Myself included. I dont but a shirt every year. Actually, most fans dont.

But sanchez plays on the left.I’m the first person to shout down people who say we shouldn’t be signing 28 year olds because they’re too old.
But the signing of Bale would be an absolute shocker - he’s 29 next month, with a very poor injury record, and he’ll cost us the best part of £100m. We’ll probably only get 2-3 seasons out of him (how many top class 33 year old wingers are there?). We’ve just signed Sanchez, we don’t need another one.
I’m not sure how much is paper talk etc, but I’m sure I’m with everyone here when I say that I much prefer it when we sign 24 year olds and make them better.
Close to feck all afaikWhat do United as a club get out of each shirt sale? Is it public knowledge?
I’m not a scout, but the players are out there. Seems a bit lazy to me to just try and buy off the peg players who then struggle to fit into our system. That’s Jose’s way though. But sanchez plays on the left.
Who are these 24 year old who would instantly improve our attack and help turn us into title contenders?
Or maybe there's a serious lack of mourinho like wingers in the market. That's why i think the club is courting the best of the lot in Willian, Bale and Griezmann(if that reddit ITK is smoking proper stuff)I’m not a scout, but the players are out there. Sanchez already has the monopoly on 29 year old inverted wingers at the club.

Are you serious? the club isn't even worth £3.25bn£50 a shirt, obviously we'll sell one to every single one of our 650m fans. That's £32.5bn. It's just maths, don't question it.
It is crazy, reality is we wouldn't even sell to a 10th of the fans, but if we did, £3.25bn is insane.
Would be interesting to know just how many shirts we do sell. We have the biggest fan base so statistically we have better odds of getting the numbers up. Although in China and India it's probably a lot of fake shirts or cut price!
You do realize it's Adidas who will be pocketing the money. We will only get a commission. Very little commission.£50 a shirt, obviously we'll sell one to every single one of our 650m fans. That's £32.5bn. It's just maths, don't question it.
