I doubt that Hojbjerg will come back. He has no future in Munich imo. It is a bit sad, because he has talent. Pep didn´t really fancy him and with Vidal and Sanches his position is covered.
We should be all over that then

Goretzka, Meyer, Höjbjerg, Geis, Fährmann
Sane, Goretzka and Höjbjerg are interesting players but like i've said only Sane has played against Hoffenheim.

Meyer should 100% stay at Schalke and should show more of his talent next season......i wouldn't sign him right now.
Geis isn't interesting for us because we have already enough similar players.
Fährmann is a good keeper but nothing special.
I really like Hojbjerg. Didn't get a proper look in at Bayern, but he seemed to have it all for a young central midfielder.

His agent (Sören Lerby) has said last week that is very likely that he will leave Bayern Munich in the summer and few german clubs (Apparently Leverkusen), many english clubs & Benfica are interested in him.

that makes sense. His development stalled quite a bit due to all the loans and the lack of opportunity in Munich. He is still young but he shouldn´t take a gamble with his next move and join a club where he has a realistic prospect to be a regular starter. Usually I´d say that Leverkusen would be perfect, but they have Kramer, Aranguiz, Kampl and Bender so competition would be really tough again.
We have already Schneiderlin so I am not that we really need him or if he´d be first choice. Teams like Everton, Westham or the Saints might be good ideas. Maybe Gladbach could be a good option, if he is willing to stay in the Bundesliga (if Xhaka leaves). I like him, but I don´t think that he´d solve our problems. Sane on the other hand would be a really interesting prospect for the right wing....

Hojbjerg looks the part, seen him at Bayern and seen him at Schalke. I like his energy and movement off the ball, great talent.

Offer them the same deal we gave Monaco for Martial.
Agree in a way, just like with Bayern's deal for Sanches you initially gasp at "£30m" worth of add ons or whatever but if it's £15m bonuses should the player win the Balon D'Or then it's money well spent anyway. Even like £5m if they feature in the top 3 etc.

Is he anything like Martial, tho? What makes Martial special is that the qualities he has are almost impossible to find together: pace, strength, great technique and the ability to dribble at full speed. Not to mention that he has fantastic composure for his age and he raises his game in big matches.

Does Sane posses those qualities? You can't go and throw €80m on every good young player out there...

Isn't that the way the Dembele deal is structured as well? I think this is the way forward with buying "wonderkids" as it allows a more reasonable upfront fee for the buyer but protects the interests of the selling club if the player develops into a world class star.

I think he has the first set of attributes you listed, the composure in front of goal isn't at the level of Martial and it's hard to say about how he does in big games as at Shalke he hasn't really had any that I know of unless the derby with Dortmund is counted.

It is although the numbers for the fee and bouns payments vary considerably between the two papers that claim them (€15m+37m extra; €8m+7m extra). Generally I find such deals reasonable, not just for young prospects.

German media Sport1 + Sport Bild linking Bayern to Sane for this transfer window, apparently.

Sane----Kimmich----Sanches----Coeman
its turning into FM with them buying a team of wonderkids!

That's the beauty of having such a well run club with a big status. They already have all their potentially world class replacements for their already aging world class. It also helps when you're in a shit house league that you can afford to play youth in 95% of the games.

yes they can replace Alonso, Ribery, Robben - the scary thing is though that they still have Vidal, Thiago, Gotze, Costa and Muller in / approaching their prime as well!
Best squad in the world I think in terms of quality / depth - with the exception that they could probably do with a striker to back up Lewendowski

What's with so many people on the Caf constantly calling other leagues shit. It's such an obsession on the Caf these days and it's not only totally flawed but also destroys every chance of an interesting discussion without some weird dick-measuring contest between leagues. I mean, all you've just shown is that you're probably a massive hypocrit (unless you also believe that United won the shithouse Premier League with a bunch of kids that played a lot more regular than kids do at Bayern these days) and that you're completely clueless.

Not sure about quality, but I agree with the depth. Bayern somehow for the most part seem to be able to relay to their players that this depth is mandatory to play in three competitions and is not a judgement on the merit of the players when he finds himself on the bench half the time. I think Bayern have been burnt too often with injury seasons in the past and are just sick and tired of not being able to compete 100% in all three competitions (which is still difficult to do, even with this depth).

I don't think we buy Sane, at least we won't this summer. It's similar to the Draxler stories, who according to the media signed 3 pre-contracts at Bayern over the last 4 years just to move to Wolfsburg instead.

Just imagine a league where you can reach Top 4 with Fellaini as a potential starter and Blind as CB.

possibly - (I imagine a bit like United in England its the easiest name to leak to the media when in contract talks or simply made up by the media as Bayern probably generates more clicks than linking him with for example wolfsberg)... looks like a good prospect though and Id be delighted if we ended up with him

It's a bit moot to compare leagues like that. I've discussed this topic one time on the cafe, and I soon gave up realising it'll lead nowhere. This forum is British, so it's natural they assume everyone else is having an unfair advantage when the BPL teams do badly. And as soon as they win the CL again, it'll make the victory that much sweeter, because everyone else had it so much easier. *shrug*

I really hope he won't go to Bayern yet. He's too talented to sit on the bench.

Yeah, same here. He should stay one more year at Schalke, get more consistent in his performances and wait until Götze has left and at least one of Robben or Ribery has left as well. Then if Ancelotti really plays with wingers and gives Coman, Kimmich, Sanches lots of playing time, he could consider a move to us. I really like him, but it's just the wrong timing for a move to us.

It's a one team league where that team just buys their rivals best players year in year out, that's what I meant by my comment. Not that the other clubs are shite.

They are doing the right thing and buy the talented players around as well as bring through their own youth products. A lot of their best players are getting into their thrities or are already there so it makes sense for them to buy the next generation of super stars, something I would love to see us keep pushing as well after we brought in the likes of Shaw, Martial and Depay. It of course won't always work out but it's something that you need to do in order to stay at the top and not fall off after your best players get too old to play at their best. We messed up our last transition which is in part the reason why we are in the mess that we are in right now.

Well if Bayern are starting to turn his head it will be very hard to get him, still hope we are smart enough to make a move for him before it comes to that.

The window where you could snap up Sane before other clubs made their move probably closed about a year ago. Even if Bayern don't buy him this window I'd be surprised if they haven't told his agent to give them a call before making any decisions.

Who?

It says he plays for Manchester City and he's got the #8 jersey on his Wikipedia page

BILD+ tell that Bayern has contacted Sane and Schalke for an interest in buying Sane in 2017 not 2016...

That makes sense (Robben, Ribery and Götze have contracts until then)
