Bayern wants the whole league to train players for them, get European experience, learn from their mistakes and then join them. Sane and De Bruyne would have been theirs as well had City not got them.
As a player you would want to join Bayern as well to be honest. The league is a non-contest and no one would be surprised if Bayern win it consecutively for the next decade. Players can concentrate fully on getting the CL and use the league as a training exercise.

I'd have preferred it over him joining a PL or la Liga club by far. The Bundesliga needs strengthening, and the German national team profits from players who are accustomed to playing together in a team.

The way I see it, we're on a decline together with all of the league, ours maybe slower than that of our closest competitors, but it won't do us any good to have this development continue. I'll take a Dortmund Meisterschaft every few years if it in turn gives us a CL and strong showings of the National Team in the next tournaments.

I would have. I prefer a solution with a real 6 in Martinez and Müller/James as most offensive players. Then it is either Thiago (with Müller) or a b2b-player (with James) completing it best. Bayern right now has Vidal, Tolisso and even Sanches (even if there is a lot doubts about that) as B2B-players. Vidal is better than all of the others even if he gets older, Tolisso already at Lyon had more pass stability with the same offensive output than Goretzka has at Schalke. It is one of this transfers that do not make us better.
And there is still Rudy. I just do not see a need and Heynckes already has real problems to give everybody enough match time.

Heynckes got his drinking problem under control because he’s a father figure to him so he is doing well after his abysmal Ancelotti era performances, but as soon as he is out of his control he will no doubt be back to utter shit again.

Predicted. Any good player in Germany will probably be signed by Bayern, freaks like Sane happen less often, and flops like Mikhi happen more often.
to be fair the German league is Bayern's playground and everyone there is your bitch. I can't understand why all players there are obsessed with Bayern and their tax evading legends. True legends like Matthaus and Klinsmann proved their mantle outside the local pool. There again, considering how the likes of Bastian, Mkhitaryan and Kagawa made themselves look silly outside the local pool, I can't really blame them for it.
Having said that, if the choice was between Bayern, Shitty or Liverpool than there's not really a choice at all.

Everyone but United knew how it would end with Schweinsteiger. His body was done and you guys expected him to be an anchor in midfield. There’s plenty of German players who left and done outstanding, including ones playing in the PL right now. So singling our the few failures is not really fair.
Draxler, Sane, KDB, Mustafi, Khedira, Özil, Rüdiger, Kroos etc etc.
Except Sahib, the only recent failures were bought by United really.
KDB and Ozil are good shot. The others not so much, good players at best and Kroos doesn't fit here as Bayern were the one selling him because he fell with Pep IIRC.

And Kroos didn’t fell out with Pep, Bayern didn’t want to meet his wage demands. It’s also irrelevant from where he left because this was just about players leaving the BL, and he did.
I included Sane earlier in my first post ? Khedira is a good player nothing more nothing less.
We're talking about players that Bayern didn't get from the league so Kroos doesn't fill the criteria. KDB, Ozil and Sane are good shots, the rest I don't think so.
You never said this, you just talked about good players in Germany I general. If it’s what you intended to say, you can’t include Mhiki either because we knew well enough what kind of player he is and there was never even the slightest bit of interest.
No my point was clear that most good players in Germany got taken by Bayern and very few great players escape from their hands there. Mikhi fit that as he had a great last season under BVB and the only clubs interested were us and Arsenal.
It wasn’t really. And the reason that only you and Arsenal were in for him is a strong indication everyone else knew he wasn’t great. He was some guy coming from Shaktar who had one great and two extremely mediocre seasons with Dortmund.

Good new year's news. The vitriol makes it taste even sweeter.I never said that Bayern would not get him for certain. I simply denied the cliché that Bayern can sign anyone they want. They are the big dog in Germany, so they obviously have by far the biggest pull for players who want to play in Bundesliga, but as soon as someone is open towards playing abroad it's a level playing field, hence the player's I've named where Bayern tried to exploit a contract, too - but the players rather moved to another club than wait for Bayern.

There were plenty of German players who left and done outstanding but nowadays they seem to prefer to stay in their league which is turning more and more in a 1 club league. That's a shame
They are much more open to leave the league now than they have been 10 or 20 years ago. The only phase when German NT players actually left the league, except now, was the last 80‘s to mid 90‘s
