Leon Goretzka | Bayern player in the summer

Why do people believe shitty tabloids and twitter when it links a player with our rivals?

Twitter says he is off to liverpool. Liverpool will have a seriously great. squad if they get him and Lemar. Probably one of the most exciting in europe.

If Keita turns out to be good to go along with Goretzka, they could be very solid. Quite a makeover from the squad Klopp inherited to what they can put out now.

He's an left "interior" but can operate as a todocampista imo. Has great technic and a eye for key passes - 05 assists in 14 games so far. Hes similar to Kaka.
Misleading username. This is the most non-native-English post I've seen in some time. From the misspellings, to the "todocampista" (???), to the "05" rather than 5.

It's one thing when Bayern or Barca beat you to a player, but if it's Liverpool that's just pouring salt on the wound!

:lol:I'm Brazilian. Charles Miller is the guy who bring football to Brazil. Todocampista is a guy who can play in many positions.

:) I had never heard of him before. Just checked his wiki. Learn something new every day.

The English people working in their companies here gave us football in the XIX century.
Then in the beginning of XX century some Hungarian coaches created that style of the Brazilian Football. Globalization.

I cannot see him going to Liverpool. IF they did not sign Keita, then yes, but both of them, I am not so sure it makes sense. Liverpool more need a deeper midfielder which Goretzka is not. I still think he will end up in Bayern Munich, unfortunately.

Annoying that Klopp seemed almost under a bit of pressure at one stage, now looks like they'll be a real threat next season IF this comes off as well as other moves. We seriously need to get our act together because unless we massively improve in attack City and Liverpool will blitz us again next season. Their goalscoring is already pretty scary.

All that being said, I really don't know if this move will happen.

Just that BILD story which was mentioned earlier in the thread. Kicker say it is possible but not likely.
Aren't BILD fairly unreliable?

Plenty of people would be brushing this off as clickbait rubbish if it was us being linked, but as it's a rival, it's something to shit the bed about.

How does he compare with Perrera? Any regular viewers of both ?

Imho . . . Germany will retain the WC with Goretzka at the heart of their midfield. A great player.

It's clear the Klopp philosophy is to use his connections to raid the Bundesliga for its best talent.

If he lands Goretka with Keita and somehow manages to hold onto Coutinho (although I think he'll leave) then Liverpool are not far from challenging Man City next season.

And do you not think that bigger clubs will not try and turn the heads of a few of their players? I can see Coutinho and possibly Salah leaving next summer If Madrid and Barcelona come calling and tap up players

There's a lot about Goretka to Liverpool which doesn't make sense.

I'd be highly surprised if RM, PSG or Barcelona weren't all interested let alone one of them.

Real will probably go for Kane, Barca for Coutinho seems a done deal, PSG????

Either way the world cup will change everything but even these huge clubs with their massive financial muscle can probably only afford one star galactico these days.

On Salah. . . I think he'll stay at L'pool.

Edit: Bayern would almost certainly snap up Goretka . . . . Still the most likely outcome.

In this minute, if I was going to think like a player like Goretzka, then Pool would most likely look like a much more fun alternative than Man Utd. Sad, but true. And if they have as much money for wages, well....

We are definitely getting the reputation as the boring, negative team that isn't designed for creative, attacking players, hopefully players wont be too easily swayed by the general consensus but there are a lot of options now in England alone.

This is what I've feared for a while, we need a strong CL campaign and a good second half of the season in general to go into the market with positive momentum and not desperation.

Tbf Milinkovic Savic was raving about JM and he's on par with Goretzka as one of the top midfield talents in the world.

I'm sure he knows his massive size will be loved by Jose and that might make us his more likely destination given our manager holds different values to the bulk of the other top sides in Europe.

I have no idea why you guys talk about this guy like he is a world class player. And I really do not know when it started. He is a technical player but, he has not really been great yet.

I've heard on social media that in Germany, this is being reported as a done deal (I believe he will make the move in the Summer).

Reported by which sources?

Just that BILD story which was mentioned earlier in the thread. Kicker say it is possible but not likely.

Nothing in that BILD story claimed a done deal, not remotely. Just that Liverpool are making a push for him alongside Bayern, Juve, Barca, Man United.

Bild is a very trashy tabloid. Sports Bild is more reliable, but the Goretzka story is from Bild I think and was picked up by tabloid in England.

I've watched lots of Keita, Leipzig are an entertaining team with him and werner espeically good. In a two with a holder though, someone to balance their attacking stengths.

Leipzig plays 4-2-2-2

With the ball and 4-4-2 without it, I know, but of the CM 2 Keita is the one that breaks and supports. At any rate the German lad I think had it spot on, with Coutinho off to Barca Keita will take up his spot in midfield and Goretzka will upgrade Can with Henderson behind them. The team will be very strong if you can then upgrade Henderson with someone like Weigl or Jorginho and buy a top keeper.

Todocampista sounds like a Star Wars character

Fully agree mate

I think the plan is Lallana/Lemar ahead of a midfield pivot of Goretzka and Keita. With Henderson, Wijnaldum and Chamberlain as backups.

Pretty obvious you're spewing out the hip names of today, neither of them would be an upgrade on Henderson, as neither could play the role he does, neither of them are physically able.

I hope so as I think the lack of balance in that will benefit the opposition.

No, neither of them are hip names, that's just silly as Weigl in particular is a player who has been recognized as a quality holder for quite some time now. I'm looking at what they are buying, with two strong #8's in Keita and Goretzka you don't need a workhorse clogger like Henderson in the team, Klopp will be able to use a DLP shield behind them like he used Sahin in his Dortmund side that won the Bundesliga.

this Goretzka to liverpool rumor really took off. and all of this comes from a bullshit Bild article that was 100% speculation which was then picked up by the english press and it became: "reports in Germany say Goretzka to Liverpool is done". let´s be honest: he is not going to join Liverpool. it is either Schalke, bayern or Barca.
