I've not been impressed yet. Not seeing anything that makes me think we should definitely be playing him. Saying that, there are about a dozen or so other players that should be sweating over their positions or be receiving criticism before him.

Some chap on here was adamant he should have started v arsenal and I said he's not ready. He's just back from a lay off, he's young and in a new league I'd say he'll come good but he's a long way off right now. Not sure this formation suits him to be honest.

18 year old moving to a more physical league, feel like he deserves some time to get up to speed, think he did well especially after the early yellow.

Martinez is done at United, he's living off the hype of one fairly good seasons, got injured has been abysmal.

Yoro deserves to be starting every game alongside De Ligt and Maz as the right sided center half.

Leny understands the responsibility of the role he's asked to play, he knows when to get tight and when to drop off something even Evans absolutely drowned in when Amorim first came in. He's got good defensive awareness and a keen positional sense, he's easily the club's best defender not down to last ditch tackles or some show of flamboyance but he does the basics correctly enabling him to be fundamentally sound.

I feel like he has to start centrally purely because he's the only one with pace. If we play Maz RCB that is alleviated a little though.

He looks really assured when passing with either foot.

Wish we had a better and more settled team that we could introduce younger players to.

Has looked steady enough given the absolute shambles around him. One can only assume that he's regretting not pushing harder for that Madrid move right now...

Should have got his header on target and scored, doesnt have Lisandro's passing and we missed it when he came on.

Ideally he would be in a back 2 with maguire or evans to guide him

Still getting to grips with the pace and intensity of this league of course, but give him a run and he will be our nr1 defender before this season ends. He has all the tools to make it. He has the size, the pace, anticipation, awareness, composure, he is ambipedal, technically sound, decent pass on him. De Ligt is the only other defender in our squad close to him with regards to well roundedness imo. We should look for another defender similar to Yoro as first priority imo

I actually thought he passed it quickly and kept the tempo up more than the other two. Unlucky not to have scored.

Compared to Maguire and De Ligt? Maybe. But Lisandro was playing passes up to Hojlund and finding the attacking players. Our only player to do that

Actually find it bizarre that he is one of our only defenders that can play first time passes that aren’t all over the shop and in players stride.

Hopefully with some fitness under him coming back from the injury he can start every week soon.

I'm weary of having him as an outright starter at this juncture with the state the club is in.

Surely not the most conducive environment for youngsters to develop and we've already seen how toxic it can get.

He's a talent and it's obvious for all to see, to ruin him like others would be a massive shame, perhaps even a loan move would the wise play here.

Erm. We play with 3 centre backs, a couple of whom are injury prone/wrong side of 30. It's quite unfathomable why you would suggest loaning him out when he is one of the more promising players on our roster?

Throw him in this side and watch the negativity skyrocket after we become dependent on a 19 year old and he inevitably hits a rough patch as they always do , can already see it with mainoo and others.

Better not to ruin a potential such as him.

I get that sentiment but he can contribute to the positivity and grow with the team. If we snuff promising lights out of the team, who knows what greater horror he would return to after his loan spell? Would he really benefit as a player then? I think this is the time to rebuild and suffer together. The team is more important than the individual. The only line I would draw is we should not play a young player who is injured. And I think United have done well for Yoro so far on that score.

Great tackle, also quite risky but well calculated.

Could have been a goal if he didnt.

Honestly, he's slowly but surely showing his qualities. Exciting future ahead hopefully

In a way, I like the way he is being integrated into the side. Comes in, shows his quality under the radar, doesn't put a foot wrong AND is not expected to carry the defense in aby way. With time he can take on more defensive responsibilities.

That tackle saved our asses. I also liked his passing and overal play with the ball today. He will be our best CB pretty soon. Just need some games in a row

The best thing United did in the summer was buying him and De Ligt.

De Ligt basically allows Yoro time to develop without the ridiculous pressure that comes with playing for United.

Shame the same approach wasn't taken with Hojlund.

But Yoro is coming along nicely.

We could have bought someone better than de ligt

It's also questionable spending so much on a promising player when we have so many gaps jn the team
