He's clearly tired and is being asked to do a lot at a very young age.
He wasn't great today, but that's bound to happen for someone so young.

Regarding Yoro, his inexperience playing this system has been clear. It will take a while for him to learn to play it and defend those wide areas.

He beat him through dribbling half the time, threatening to go one way and going the other. He had a few kick and runs too but it was clear he was going past him either way

Yeah, got him all shook up. It happens.

This was just bizarre. Sulemana had him on toast all game. It’s really strange because Yoro is usually good against fast and tricky players in the channel but he looked like he had no clue out there.

I remember Evra being exceptional against fast and tricky wide players but completely losing all his defensive ability against Aaron Lennon at times. Hopefully this is a one-off for Yoro.

Maguire is ahead of him at the moment, no question.

He got run ragged thankfully not too costly. Good learning experience for the kid.

I’ll be that guy. Love Amad and incredible hattrick, but your RWB should help you if the opposition time and time again are overloading on the right. He was way too exposed.

Mainoo and Ugarte being absolutely dead on their feet made it worse, they couldn’t track back either.

The problem is he and Dibling were up front. They got the ball early and often with only the CBs to play against because thats what players playing up front will get. The poor finishing and not so great holdup play with a CB fighting right behind them is the drawback and we saw that he didnt have the finish to end the great play before it. But this is what you're going to get from these types of players playing against a back 3. Amad's responsibility is tracking back the fullback so they dont have overlaps

Aaron fecking Lemon. Made him look like a competition winner at times

Terrible but also exposed by the system, constantly left isolated against the quickest player on the field.

Terrible to watch today. I think he might not be ready yet for PL after that injury. His opponent was quick but there are reasons why he's not been a threat for any side the entire season.

He tried to let the winger have the ball and trust himself on the tackle, got burned every single time and it was dangerous. When de Ligt came into that role he was physical and aggressive and never let the winger get set.

I don't think he did really. When you let a wide player have the ball, you're baiting them to go one side, something AWB was world class at. Yoro let him go inside and outside, which means he then got caught in his own poor footwork and body positioning.

Apart from getting turned inside out all night, his passing was really bad, just hoofing it forward aimlessly.

Incredible how many times he was skinned. But that’s a poor reflection on the setup as a whole. I know these new systems are rigid, but surely if one of your teammates is getting destroyed so frequently someone has to come closer to help.

He was like a lamb to the slaughter at times.

But he also never got physical enough when the player was receiving the ball nor did he show any prowess in the air to cut out the sweeping passes toward him.

There were times he thought he had him against the touchline and he got burned from a simple slowdown and change in pace.

A very poor game from him but he’ll learn from it.

The only other poor game he had was against Forest I think it was. Seems to play better when we’re more compact, but I guess that applies to everyone in this squad.

Bad game but hopefully will learn from it. He is young and still raw. He will have those games. As long as he keeps improving he will be fine.

I thought this guy was signed mainly to be a fast pacy defender but in any game where he gets turned he looks pretty slow.

I understand he was exposed quite a bit down that channel

Hopefully he will chalk it up to experience but Sulemana had him on toast all evening.

He's had some really promising highlights off the bench in the last couple of weeks which speak to his potential and his character (doing it away to Liverpool and Arsenal) but so far he's struggled in the games where he's started and tonight was by far his worst game. He's still very young and playing a difficult role so he's going to have tough games like tonight, my only concern was that he was getting easily beaten for pace and that's supposed to be one of his strengths.

Was the winger the fastest of all time or is Yoro a bit slow? Disappointed, that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen, but he's young and can easily turn it around

Probably one of the ropiest games I've seen a United centre-back have in a long time but he's still only 19. You have to forgive the odd performance like this from a player so young and hope, as we just about did, that you have the quality and the fortune elsewhere to see you through.

Christ he got roasted today. His mistake was not getting tight enough to his man, he let the Southampton lad drop a yard off, turn, then get a clean sprint at him again and again. He needed to stay tight and shepherd the guy to the touchline as the ball arrived.

Still, he's a young player. Getting roasted by a tricky winger all match is part of the learning process. Everyone has to take their medicine sometimes.

Yoro had a proper baptism of fire today. Again, I don't entirely blame him. Our pressing structure, or lack thereof, really left him exposed and from there he was constantly backpeddaling against a pacey winger. But still...

...He'll be a bit frazzled after that.

He looked really slow today, which surprised me.
Incredibly slow, his balance also looked awful.

It was concerning.

Regardless of tonight's game I still don't think it's a signing we should have made.

We have too many gaps to spend that much on a player so raw

Can only learn from tonight. Sulemana was on fire, so not sure anyone but AWB would've actually kept him quiet.

Very bad game , but let’s not forget we have a monster in our hands . Yoro will learn from his mistakes no doubt .

He didn't look frazzled to me. Seemed like he was still alive to the challenge
