Sarcasm?He did well.
Sarcasm?He did well.
He was heavily linked to us a couple years backHe got dogwalked by a player I’ve genuinely never heard of before. It was sad to watch
He beat him through dribbling half the time, threatening to go one way and going the other. He had a few kick and runs too but it was clear he was going past him either way
No. When the other guy is as strong and quick and fast as Suleymana and has acres of space around him, how much better would he have fared?Sarcasm?
I’ll be that guy. Love Amad and incredible hattrick, but your RWB should help you if the opposition time and time again are overloading on the right. He was way too exposed.
Mainoo and Ugarte being absolutely dead on their feet made it worse, they couldn’t track back either.
Aaron fecking Lemon. Made him look like a competition winner at timesThis was just bizarre. Sulemana had him on toast all game. It’s really strange because Yoro is usually good against fast and tricky players in the channel but he looked like he had no clue out there.
I remember Evra being exceptional against fast and tricky wide players but completely losing all his defensive ability against Aaron Lennon at times. Hopefully this is a one-off for Yoro.
Maguire is ahead of him at the moment, no question.
Dalot would’ve fared better I think.
He tried to let the winger have the ball and trust himself on the tackle, got burned every single time and it was dangerous. When de Ligt came into that role he was physical and aggressive and never let the winger get set.
I thought the other lad just looked super rapid, Salah and Mane speed and movement. He looked really slow today, which surprised me.
I doubt it. That kid was rapid
But he also never got physical enough when the player was receiving the ball nor did he show any prowess in the air to cut out the sweeping passes toward him.I don't think he did really. When you let a wide player have the ball, you're baiting them to go one side, something AWB was world class at. Yoro let him go inside and outside, which means he then got caught in his own poor footwork and body positioning.
Incredibly slow, his balance also looked awful. He looked really slow today, which surprised me.
Yoro had a proper baptism of fire today. Again, I don't entirely blame him. Our pressing structure, or lack thereof, really left him exposed and from there he was constantly backpeddaling against a pacey winger. But still...
...He'll be a bit frazzled after that.
