He got dogwalked by a player I’ve genuinely never heard of before. It was sad to watch

Sulemana had him on toast and would've absolutely destroyed anyone else on that side. Hope he builds character from this

Totally destroyed tonight. Not sure this system suits him tbh.

There's a reason not many 19 year olds are playing centreback in the Premier League.

He didn't seem affected by the difficult day so I'm sure he'll be fine

Roasted out there. Should have been subbed off earlier to save him from further embarrassment

Hopefully he kicks from here and not go in a shell

That player is a pace merchant and he had no help. It's a steep learning curve for sure. It was a poor match for him but nothing to worry about. De Ligt though, smashed Sulemana at the first opportunity.

He's young. But boy did he look it. Sulemana went past him 5 or 6 times and pretty much anytime he wanted. Beat him for skill, trickery and pace

that was terrible. So much so it could be quite damaging. Was torn apart

Probably one of the worst defensive performances at OT since Prunier. I had no idea he was this raw.

Maybe not the greatest one on one defender - needs to learn how to mark these tricky fast guys, De Ligt showed him how. Get tight and don't let then turn.

Said some time ago he needs a championship loan, but considering Southampton absolutely murdered him maybe the championship is a bit to much for him.

The worst defensive performance from a United player in a long time. Didn’t put a foot right. Hopefully, he doesn’t lose too much confidence.

He's 19, playing a position most reliant on experience, these performances are to be expected.

I wouldn't mind sending him out on a loan if we had more depth available, could do him good.

Poor game today. It happens though

Hopefully that was just a bad day at the office for him. Was hoping he'd be a lot quicker than that. Maybe Sulemana is just rapid though, I don't know.

Think he will be fine. He just needed more help against a guy with insane pace. That would have happened to any of our CBs.

Wow. He struggled badly. I’ll repeat myself, but not sure about the Rio comparisons. A young Rio was never done for pace like that, and certainly not 5-6 times a game by the same player.

Dude got annihilated.

Couldn't deal with the tight turns of that guy, a real learning curve for him, but clearly not ready to be starting week in week out yet.

Was ripped to shreds, a very poor performance and didn't show good recovery pace. Shows why he has to be eased in to the team (although this is probably the easiest match to play him in in the league....)

I was under the impression that he is good in 1v1 with good pace that defends well in the channel, I would be disappointed if he isn’t this kind of player when we are in desperate need of one in this profile. Of course he is still young and still early days when he hasn’t had a run of games.

I’ll be that guy. Love Amad and incredible hattrick, but your RWB should help you if the opposition time and time again are overloading on the right. He was way too exposed.

Mainoo and Ugarte being absolutely dead on their feet made it worse, they couldn’t track back either.

He beat him through dribbling half the time, threatening to go one way and going the other. He had a few kick and runs too but it was clear he was going past him either way

He had a really poor game but this happens with young players. Sulemana is one of those players that on his day can do that and I think he’d have given any of our centre backs a tough time tonight.

Sulemani had him on toast.

He'll be falling all over himself the next game.

Yoro will be fine in the long run, he'll have to learn from nights like tonight.

Needs to learn the game from De Ligt who handled Sulemana comfortably despite being slower than Yoro. Smashed him first chance he got and never let himself get put in a race. He'll learn though.

He tried to let the winger have the ball and trust himself on the tackle, got burned every single time and it was dangerous. When de Ligt came into that role he was physical and aggressive and never let the winger get set.

It’s good for him, he needs to experience games like this for his development imo
