De Ligts all action style impresses me. But it seems like Amorim likes a more complete player in the middle.

Amorim is not in the slightest stupid. He understands very well that we need at least one central defender who is excellent in the air - and that is only de Ligt in the current setup (Ok, Yoro we have yet to see).

Lots of pages for a player who’s yet to make his league debut. However, I’m going to contribute because I saw him play a couple of times last season and he immediately made an impression on me, looked very accomplished for someone so young and has excellent physical attributes. Excitedly anticipating his debut for us.

Yoro has not played a competitive game in 6 months, starting him at Emirates is very risky considering the intensity and physicality of the game.

One of the good things that Amorim did is, he is taking good amount of time to introduce injured players.

Most likely it will be Shaw as LCB, Yoro might come on as a sub.

I'm excited to see him in the squad, but don't think he's ready to start against Arsenal. Yes, Martinez is suspended, but we have a very good replacement at LCB in Luke Shaw.

I'd rather see Yoro start against Viktoria Plzen and can get eased into the first team gradually.

Yeah expect him to be on the bench which is something as remember him saying he was targeting a return in this game. Ironic it's against the same team where he picked up the injury

In Amorims system isnt it more important to consider whether Yoro & Maz is better covering the right side and also attacking than Maz & Diallo?

Seems to me Yoro should be kept away from too much pressure and allowed to challenge for both the central spot and the RCB spot. But you will probably do well enough under Amorim that you will need him to play a lot either way.

Best suggestion. I really like Dalot but I think he needs a stint on the sidelines, its been tough for him recently.

Mazroaui - Martinez - De Ligt - Yoro - Amad

I would like to see that for a few games. Ultimately though I think Amad will move further up and it will be Mazroaui and Shaw on the flanks.

Probably too soon, I see it is Maz, De Ligt & Shaw as the back 3, probably Amad & Dalot in the WBs, and Ugarte+Cas in the pivot.

If Amorim wants more solidity and is worried Amad might not be best option in the RWB role, I can see Maz being moved there and Yoro playing RCB, and if Arsenal dominates the game which will mostly like be the case, then we will be playing a low block which could help Yoro as he will have support of 2 additional CBs alongside him.

Highly doubt he’ll be thrown into the deep end right away. It’s too big a game for a young player who comes back from a long injury, no match fitness, who has yet to make a debut. Probably a few minutes off the bench, and more opportunity to feature in the many games ahead in December.

Its definitely too soon for him to start so maybe start with De Ligt, Maguire, and Shaw as the 3 CB's then bring Leny on as a sub in the 2nd half

I wouldn't play him tomorrow. I'd Start Shaw, De Ligt and Maz. Give Yoro half an hour v Forest and if all goes well start him v Plzen.

Think he will be so exciting once he gets going though.

I think it's almost certain now that he'll appear off the bench. Maguire will go LCB as he's had some minutes, but won't be fit for 90 and Yoro is the only other fit CB

This idea of playing players back from injury into a starting position or more than 15 minutes gotta go. Look at Shaw and Licha. Honestly the training camp has gotta tell Licha that he can’t train as hard as he wants. His body can’t handle it. Take a page out of Messi’s book!

Seriously? feck me. He's my favourite player when fit but at this point just get him off the books.

EIther way, I can't see Yoro starting. Wonder how Cas would do in the LCB role? He is surely a better option than Maguire there
