@Edgar Allan Pillow why don't you have crappy PM you his two choices and you announce it with the next round's roll (makes sense as those two managers would be in jail regardless of their roll) and also is in line with the exact rules you wrote in the surprise post i.e. if the power is used 'during' a particular round it comes into effect for the next one?

Meanwhile we don't have to wait for crappy now and can continue with the actual draft in peace.

Because it doesn't make sense to do so without knowing the rolls. If crappy sends 2 managers to jail and they end up in jail either way next turn due to rolling on 13 it makes the card worthless.

Either way I'm off for some time for our draft master to figure it all out :)

I'm just sick of not knowing if I'm waiting for crappy, not waiting for crappy etc. The only real reason to wait is to give less chance to the manager to replace him and also less chance for me to lose him.

No it's not. The more turns the greater the chance of people havin players they ACTUALLY WANT TO LOSE.

The power of the reward is

1. Rebalancing by making someone lose a useful if not GOAT player

2. Preventing someone picking feom a great box

There's a big difference between doin it now and doin it pre-roll and one turn later. As I said, the re-roll would be a better reward.

I know mate, the past few pages have been a bit of a shitstorm in fairness. The big reason to pick now is that you aren't allowed to pick from either manager that Crappy sends to Box 13, so that could potentially put several top players out of reach for you.

There's zero issue with your pick. You can and should wait for R8 to decide.

We also know your next pick if crappy doesn't pick you so there's nothing you need to do.

We just need @crappycraperson to show up and move a couple of managers to Box 13.

If anyone is antsy just let me know your picks (and drops if selected) via PM and we will get this round sorted quickly.

Personally I'd rather wait and see what I get in the next three picks than get overly greedy now, unless there's a strong and clear preference.

Pnut may yet somehow lose a midfielder and will want to replenish then.

I think he could afford to lose a few midfielders and still be okay :D. Agreed though, unless I had a nailed on preference as to which GOAT I wanted, I'd keep hold of that power for as long as possible.

Yeah it depends mainly on what you want. I mean hypothetically if I just wanted a #10 and Maradona is there, there's nothing you can gain by waiting, for example.
 
I think the main point of waiting for P-Nut is not that his priorities will change (r8 picks won't change your GOAT preference) - it is that it'll be harder for the manager who loses a player to replace him

Sigh, this was a challenging box but I had found a great (by some accounts one of the greatest ever) player who rarely gets much credit and was looking forward to talk about him! :(
