Yep, the AMs seem to only slowing the process as every decision needs to be discussed with them, while it should be the other way.

Mate, Essien isn't eligible. He played 34 games for Real Madrid (20 league, 7 cups, 7 CL).

Make sure you don't use the profile records on wiki, those are always league games and about 90% of the decent options fall on their arse thanks to cups and european games.

Just glanced through the pool - it is, indeed, very small, especially when you consider that attackers in the all-time draft just have to be unquestionably world-class players.

Maybe there is a relative gem in all those Spaniards though
 
Ah, yes - Essien.

Might've considered him if he were eligible (although he's arguably not the easiest player to sell, in spite of his undoubted peak level - seems to suffer from ****** syndrome to a considerable extent, i.e. people seem to focus unduly on his decline).

As for Spanish gems, there are two standout candidates, as far as I can tell. One goes out the window for me due to era, the other one is in the "yeah, but really - can't be too hard to dig up something more tasty" bracket.

Also, wiki is shit - and should be shunned like the plague. To be fair, though, they have at least begun warning people explicitly when they only list league games/goals.

It was unfortunately (or not, for us) too short a peak due to injuries. I had him in contention as one of the Mou guys but thought I may as well reserve him for this stupid box. Of course, that was without checking he qualified. I assumed he would, same with the lesbian and several others I knew had been there for a season but not as regular starters. Tonnes of quality options just over the cut :mad:
