Could you imagine he has played most of his matches whith chronic pain conditions?

Despite that and his diverse injuries:

- At the age of 31y, he was able to score 24 goals with Bologna
- At the age of 37y, he was able to score 12 goals with Brescia

Regarding my starting 11, I am like Ancelotti: it would depend on the form of the players at the training sessions.

Yeah he would've gone perfectly with Cannigia on one side and him on the other but chose to go a different route this time.

Good points. Many supremely talented no10s often struggled to carve out a role for themselves and it shows how tactically, physically and defensively demanding Serie A was at the time. Even someone as incisively brilliant as Baggio spent much of his career yo-yo-ing from a great season into a poor and usually under-utilised one. Changed days now and any 10 worth their salt has a number of roles they can drop into (10, inside-left/right, false 9). Crucially there is now an entire line across the park devoted to the 10's function, whereas in 1980s and 1990s Serie A that line was often regarded as a luxury few teams could afford to take.
