YeyAbidal.
I got zilch credit for him in the 70s draft, but the good folk of the Caf are a more astute bunch now so I fancy he'll get his dues. Great all-round centre-forward, ruthless on either foot and in the air.
Yeah, mind boggling how one particular name in attack hasn't been picked up yetPlenty of quality players still left to draft!

Enough to be nominated for Ballon D'or thoI think we all know who it is but unfortunately he had a short window in this certain league....
Shit! Looks like we're going to play poker with a player.... Who's gonna flinch first?Enough to be nominated for Ballon D'or tho
Guys, due to LeChuck being banned, I'm going to take @milemuncher777 as my draft partner.
Mate, I have no idea. He did go abit hard in the CE forum but most people do when they are passionate about a subject. For what?

FIFA World Cup 1994 Technical Report said:Rune Bratseth showed that he was the clear leader of the team. He plans to retire from the international scene and take up the position of manager of the Norwegian club side Rosenberg Trondheim . It was he who held the team together and was instrumental in seeing that the coach's tactics were carried out on the field.

He said similar things about Ásgeir Sigurvinsson that had he been German he would have been their captain.Time for someone I've always been keen to snap up
RUNE BRATSETH
Hugely influential in Werder Bremen's understated team of the mid-to-late 1980s and early 1990s, libero Bratseth was three-times Norwegian Player of the Year and was named the country's greatest ever player by the Norwegian FA. Duelled with Jurgen Kohler for the Bundesliga's best defender in Kicker magazine's ratings, ranking first in 1988/89 and 1992/93, and second (behind Kohler) in 1987/88. One of his biggest fans was the Kaiser who, as West German manager in 1990, told the sweeper that had he been German, he'd have been starting for the XI that won Italia '90.

am I the only one that doesn't rate Riquelme that high? (and probably LvG )
He striked me as always someone to wane under pressure(that arse missed penalty in the CL, games against Brazil and in the national side). He was Villareal best player and made them tick but was always a bit underwhelming at the biggest stage and a little lazy on top of that. But I saw it's tuppet that he picked him, so we'll save it for the game.
We definitely do. With the added factor of playing along with Modric and the understanding they haveI'm 98% sure we agree on this pick. The one man flank: Marcelo
He is my pick for this round
Get the feck out.
He absolutely carried little Villareal to the semi final of the CL, and in the same year was the undoubted star of the World Cup with the Argies walking it until one of the most retarded substitutions i've ever seen.
If you play him in the right setup and build a team around him he is the dogs bollocks. The most elegant player i've ever seen, and the best at seeing and executing a through pass i've seen. A legend of the game.
