La Liga 2013-2014

Anybody watching Barcelona v Athletic Club?

Herrera robbing the ball then immediately playing a lovely through ball just then

I am yes! I want to see how Laporte plays tonight mainly but I've also been impressed by Bilbao this season quite a lot. I reckon they might get something out of the game.

Good game so far, lots of chances at both ends. Aduriz's overhead kick was superb!

Sky saying there's 30,000 people at the Barca game, that's more than 60,000 empty seats right? Is that normal?

Not normal for it to be that low, but there are a lot of games where the ground is far from a sell out so it's not a massive shock either given the circumstances.

Atmosphere is dead tonight, as bad as I've seen it in years.

Messy goal but it could push Barca on to get the winner here.

Pedro makes it 1 all and probably saves Tata from the white hanky treatment.

Cesc jeered again by the Camp Nou tonight. Pretty clear what they think of him

Are Barcelona fans spoiled? I always considered they were probably a great fan base.

They've not had to boo the manager or the team since Rijkaard led them down to an inglorious third place in 2008 and they whistled and white hankied him into the sack. Mind you they've only missed one Liga title since then.

Personally I quite respect the fact that at a lot of European clubs (more so in Italy than Spain but still) the fans actually can have a big impact on how the club is run and the decisions they make.

As opposed to England where most of the time what we think doesn't mean feck all.
