La Liga - 2012/2013

Shocking number of empty seats in both this and the Barcelona matches

Spain is going through a savage recession. Also maybe if you lot broke up the TV deal it might just be more competitive.

The commentators mentioned something about clamping down on the ultras... but then there's empty seats all over the stadium.

Wow. La liga could be all but over just a few matches into the season.

There's been about 5 elbows in the first 15 minutes. Already could have been a red in this.

On this sort of form from Real, City might just get out of their cl group.

Since Higuain kicked the player from behind the Sevilla defenders seem to be aiming for the heads. Constantly fouling.

The Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán used to be a cauldron to play at, really terrific energy - strange to see it subdued now

Some masterful display of diving on showcase from the barber team. They managed an awful lot of dives, moaning and thuggery in 30 minutes.

Cicinho has been great though. Really owning that right flank.

Madrid don't look a team. And Barca are the ones who have had a change in manager.

Nice to see a Mourinho side getting a taste of their own medicine.

You think that's some kind of Real Madrid medicine? A few Classicos in the past few years doesn't mean it's their playing style. But Real and Barca have to endure this kind of football every time they play away.
It's not like Stoke. It's using every trick in the book to their maximum advantage and play counter attacking football. You get a few nice moment from the team but overall it's a very dirty style of playing.

Guess it's easier to mind it since the other teams have to deal with this gap in TV money but for me as a neutral watching football it ruins the game. You don't, as a football fan, want to see these tactics succeed. It didn't for Real when they player Barca but it occasionally does overall.

More shockingly poor stuff from Di Maria. He really should be subbed off at half time. His head's not screwed on right tonight.

How is Di Maria not sent off for that?! Straight red and he's not even getting his second booking. That two Madrid players who should've been off already.

He's spent the whole half running into defenders and now he's lashed out at a Sevilla player. Been a liability today, has Di Maria.

Just seen the repay. He threw a punch!

And Higuin kicked out.

What do you have to do to get a red in this league??!
