I can imagine Qatar throwing one last mad bid to see if they kan keep him. Name your price kind of deal.

According to Marca we close the deal next week. €25M net a year(~50 gross) plus €60/80M signing bonus. Presumably 6 years, so should be around 30M/Y net / 60M/Y gross in total

He's already a Madrid player on loan with PSG :)

How can you give a player a 60-80m signing bonus, you’ve basically bought him for that amount:eek:

It's a €60M/Y operation. Without the signing bonus it would have been €50M/Y

I mean, it's the best player in the world, it was always going to be stupid expensive

We’ll I suppose he wouldn’t move there otherwise. Just put yourself in his agents position; the clubs just saved itself around 200 million euro in transfer fees. Wouldn’t you insist on getting a fat bonus for you and your player? Just imagine the pressure Mbappe is under right now.

Unless it changed Mbappé doesn't have an agent.

Real are going from strength to strength my goodness,I'm extremely jealous

Mbappe and Benzema together for club and country are going be something to watch over the next 2 years...

Still find it hilarious that PSG refused a £180mil bid from Madrid last summer and now losing Mbappe on a free. Awfully run club is PSG.

They puffed their chests out at the time as well too bragging about it being a power move

Could say the same about us with losing Pogba for free twice too, United and PSG have a remarkable amount of similarities

Who offered us big money for Pogba last summer?

Jealous. He's going to be class.

Does pose the question though as to how he and Vinicius fit into that side. Both prefer the LW.

Wasn't last summer but we've apparently turned down sizeable offers from Pogba from Barca and Juventus in the past few years.

Pretty sure Barca offered something stupid like Gomes and Yerry Mina - which was rightfully turned down.

This was when Pogba was at his "peak" for us.

Was that in the first week of October? I Remember that week.

It was the same sort of rumours on Juventus’ side. Offering us players like Ramsey, Alex Sandro, and a pittance of a transfer fee.

This was the offer from Barca

Not sure if there are any other offers that had any sort of credibility during his time here.

It was still a much better deal than Neymar. They sure expected to win the UCL at least once or keep him for longer but what they payed for Neymar was outrageous and he hasn't been as good for them to justify that fee.

psg do not need money. they expected to win the cl this year though for sure and fecked it yet again, which is definitely not funny at all. no stop laughing, it isn't

Isn't even the final played in Paris this year? l.o.l

Was always going there. Real Madrid are going to be fun to watch with Vinicius, Benzema and Mbappe.

They don't need the money to be honest. The problem is that they didn't win everything

It is. No wonder Nasser lost his marbles. Imagine PSG winning the CL in Paris in the year Qatar holds its WC.

Hard not to be envious of Real. Hope they get Haaland away from the oil stained clutches of City as well.

Absolutely. Somebody like Haaland at City will be an absolute joke.

How on earth are we meant to catch up? We're miles behind and the strong just get stronger while we do nothing.

Isn't it sad that a club our size, top 3-5 in earnings can only afford 50-80m net a year whilst clubs like City can spend over 100m.

The modern era of football is well and truly set in stone now.

That's why some want to establish the Super League. As long as UEFA and CAS run this show, the state owned clubs are going to keep everyone at arms length since there are no real limits anywhere to their spending. They can just get another sponsorship for way above market value from some company back home to balance the books.

Mbappé refused to undertake marketing operations linked to sponsors of the Blues

"On the Mbappé side, we believe that certain brands pose ethical and moral problems and we wonder about the redistribution of income generated by the Blues."

The first time I see this brought up. How do the FAs in Europe use the money generated by NTs and how much actually goes down the pyramid?
