Mbappe's problem however will be that he has extremely long legs and thus a high center of gravity. He will never be able to dribble like Messi or Hazard, fending off defenders and shielding the ball through his balance and going past them by quick turns of direction. Either he bulks up to give him more upper body strength which would mean that he loses his superb agility or he stays the way he is and will be quite easy to disposses. Especially since his close control isn't all that great.
That's also a difference to Ronaldo. The superior technique aside, Ronaldo had very bulky, strong legs and an at least decent upper body strength even before his injuries. He had a much lower center of gravity than Mbappe.
It's amazing how good Mbappe is at this age but I simply think his ceiling isn't as high as R9's, Messi's or Ronaldinho's to name a few. However, he seems to be really likeable and down to earth so I'd be glad if it turns out I was wrong.
He's doing fine dribbling through players with his high center of gravity, and his close control is much better than you think, as well as his skills. People acting like if his pace was gone tomorrow, he wouldn't be able to do much are just silly. He's got way more than just pace going for him. He has a great first touch, vision, range of passing, finishing, and technical skills. R9 was a freak of nature though, I don't think the human body can sustain what he was doing in his early 20's for very long, you can be that big, strong, fast, and technical like that, the body had to give out.
