He really isn’t. You and many others who are stated he is better than this guy or that guy are looking at Mbappe’s potential not his now talent.
In this United team, there is no chance he would match Lukaku’s tally. The French league is a 1 team league, the main reason he has the goals and assists that he does is because he has Neymar and Cavani on the end of his assists, and Di Maria, Pastore, Verrati, Neymar to assist him.
Imagine Lukaku having them lot playing with him, and imagine Mbappe having Mata Martial and Rashford to assist him and to finish his assists.
No way does Mbappe get Lukaku’s numbers in this United team in the PL.
They are not playing the same position right now.

The CL is less than every other week so it doesn’t always require consistency of performances. He is playing against some piss poor teams in France.
Also, the pressure at United in league where 6 teams can challenge for the title is completely different to playing in France with no serious contenders. All whilst playing with great players. Mbappe having Rashford Mata and Martial around him would not look as great as he does surrounded by Di Maria, Neymar, Cavani etc.

No one is challenging for the Premier league, Manchester City is making it look like a one-team league this season. Last season, Monaco were the champions, I guess that's easy to forget.
Again, you don't know what you're saying because it's all hypothetical. What I go by is things that have happened, and he has played against Manchester City (who were not in the form of their lives like they are now) and scored, he scored against a Juventus side who hadn't been scored on in over 1000+ minutes of CL. Now he's basically a right winger with Cavani and Neymar as the focus of their offense. He's had some stints as CF but too few to really make a valid comparison.
I just don't agree that he'd not be capable to have Lukaku's output in the same role once he was acclimated to the Premier League, but you gotta compare apples with apples and not oranges.
Mbappe to Madrid last summer made so much sense for everyone involved I still can't believe it didn't happen.
Just NO, Mbappe is 10 times the player Lukaku is right now, better dribbler, better movement, better shot, better first touch, better technique, far quicker, better link up play, far more creative. It's not remotely close
There's no PSG/Monaco fans calling Mbappe a donkey either, United fans and Lukaku however.......
M'bappé 2018 isn't in a great shape for different reasons. I hope it will change by the end of the season in view of the WC.

Think PSG is actually a good stepping stone for Mbappé, he will get plenty of time and be the main man with Neymar, paly literally every game in a top team, then he's ready to make the next step. If he went to Madrid straight away he would find a lot of pressure and so I think it is good for him to stay in France and develop. I think he will be an sensational player, though he is a bit overrated. Put Rashford in the same team and you will see highlights every week of a top prospect
Rashford has talent but has flashes of pure brainless football. Like his typical push the ball and try to outrun the opponent no matter who he is or where he is. M'Bappé displays maturity well beyond his years consistently

It’s a very different profile of a striker. I actually think an Mbappe Lukaku partnership would work great. However, Mbappe will never go to United. Once he decides to leave Paris, it will be for Madrid. He’s just so young, turned 19 less than 3 months ago. I can see him making the step up around 21 similar to Karim Benzema.
He needs to leave France (same as Neymar) they are both too good for this league!

What is the point of rushing? If he was still three years older, people would wonder if he isn't too young to make the step up. Besides, he wants to play for his hometown club before making the big move most likely to Madrid since that was his dream as a kid.

There's no greater example of how our fanbase overrates academy players than the fact that some on here thought Rashford was better than Mbappe.

That's simply not true. Paul Scholes is my favourite ever united player and I'd love to see Gomes, Chong and Pereira get chances next year.
I am praising him, I think he's fantastic. If there is ever any chance that we could get him we should be all over it. He reminds me of Luis Ronaldo and that's as high a praise as you can get.
