It isn’t a one time payment. It’s spread across the 5 years of his contract. It’s different though isn’t it? It’s a one time payment in lieu of a transfer fee.

Considering the general attitude in the football world whenever RM wins UCL, as in, few cares, also the fact that the club won it just fine without him, how much will the perception of him as a club player really change, if he wins a couple while at the club?
Haaland will go there eventually.I wish him all the best, but I also wish they'd gone for Haaland instead.
Hopefully, he'll go there once City are sent down to the Conference LeagueHaaland will go there eventually.
I don't watch enough of Madrid to know Vinicius Jr in detail but some who do say he's just as effective on the right. I don't know.I’m really curious to see how this will work. He’s an absolute helmet of a boy with an ego that isn’t far off his idol’s, so it’ll be interesting to see if he upsets the Apple cart.
Rashford maybe?PSG have a big name hole in their team to fill now.
Not necessarily. Many would be fine with getting paid less for a dream job. It's not like he's working for food stamps.Imagine making your dream move in any career but getting paid less for it. A bit embarrassing.
It's 10 terrible months followed by a summer of wild celebrations and euphoriaMust be nice to be a Madrid fan, eh?

I’ve read from multiple reputable sources saying it will be spread across the 5 years. Possibly even from Fabrizio himself aswell.Only if it's what they negotiated it. Signing bonuses can be paid however both parties want.

Than at PSG? Certainly, yes. But that would have been the case anywhere else, too. With his signing on fee, image rights and wages, will he be earning less?

Assuming the numbers published of his PSG contract, and the numbers touted now are correct? He made more money in 2 years in Paris than he stands to make over 5 in MadridWith his signing on fee, image rights and wages, will he be earning less?

Rodrygo gave an interview before the final saying that City were the team that played the best, and that they knew it. That's an "F" in first grade in madridismo. As Guardiola says "Madrid never lose because of their opponents, but because they had a bad day".
Then he said that they had cut the interview, that he wanted to stay at Madrid until he was told to leave, etc. However, in general it all sounded quite melancholic.
I used to think he wouldn't move the Brazilians but every day I find it harder and harder to see Rodrygo, Brahim, Endrick, Guler living together for minutes (in good games, not Getafes/Leganés).
150 million for Rodrygo? Or I am being a bit forward?
It’s not even close. PSG paid him gazillions to have him stay (and thereby promote their WC) the last two years.Including the sign on bonus at Madrid?
Is that a bad thing? I'm not sure when our club can ever make our fans feel spoilt like that.Cannot believe some Real Madrid fans are complaining about Mbappé's arrival... spoilt fans

What's that supposed to mean? He shouldn't have admitted or said that?
That would be something I can get on board withImagine PSG winning the CL next year, would love to see it.
Nah I'm sorry but I don't care about his preference for money or pressure or whatever. What I care about is that he rejected us. That's it. I don't want a player like that. We can have Bellingham turn down treble-winning city offering more money for us, and we should be happy for signing a guy who rejected us - twice??? Nah. He's gotta earn our regard nowThey have bought the stories the media told them about his preference for money at PSG, when in reality it was way more complicated than that.
Or way easier, depending the way you see it.
Hopefully just a minority anyway.
I honestly believe he will be on his best behavior. He's at a proper club, when he plays for France, his behavior is very good. I expect the same.I know Madrid players seem excited about this in general but given the guy's tantrums on pitch and the ego he comes with, given Madrid seems a very happy and settled dressing room, I'm not really sure how much upside there is to this transfer. That being said, he's 5x the player Haaland is, so, well, lucky them.

PSG gave him way too much power, that was ridiculous
Like I said, if a club enables a player to that extent, it's not surprising the end result.Question is for how long. Didn’t things start off well with Neymar? I fear it’s just a ticking time bomb before he/his camp are gonna start moaning about taking penalties, more money, playing on the LW and whatever else.
