Kylian Mbappé | Real Madrid watch

So it is confirmed. But 16mUSD per year is quite low for MBappe. How did Real do it like they always have been?

9 figure signing bonus probably helps

How many CL's will he finish with then? 5?

He's 26 next season and the CL isn't that easy to win despite Madrid's surreal record of the last decade. Other teams are building big teams as well, not just Madrid. And I'd say 1 or 2 is still the likeliest outcome.

CL requires alot of luck as well, Madrid in their last few have shown plenty of it. There been alot of games where they had no right to win it but do.

Will that luck continue?

It will be interesting to see where he plays as well. He can't come in and act the way he did at PSG, he is coming into a team that has won multiple CL's with a formula and a LW that could win the Ballon D'or.

Madrid have reached 12 CL semifinals since 2011, or 12 in 14 attempts, which I believe, has no precedent.

Luck can come and go at specific times but that consistency to be in the latter rounds of the competition cannot be explained with just luck. The arguments that many use to explain the lack of luck in editions in which the trophy was won could be used to claim the opposite in the years in which it was not won.

So rather than asking if that luck, which plays a role I won't deny it, can continue, I would first ask if that consistency in reaching the latter rounds of CL can continue.

Oh no, take nothing away from Madrid, they have deserved to be there and win it. These things come in cycles dont they? There was a time in early 2000's until 2011 where they struggled, even with good teams.

Yeah, it's not just luck, and Mbappe is very likely to win at least 1 Ballon d'Or and Champions League each...however it's never a given that he'll win multiple of them IMO. Pep won only 2 CLs with Unicef Barca and that core only went on to win 1 more after that. The trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez only won one. City have only won one despite being odds-on favorites every season since 2017. The Madrid juju is real but it's still obviously never a foregone conclusion. And don't forget...eras come to an and after all:lol:...football has always been cyclical

Pedrerol said that it will be comunicado in some minutes

The problem with winning liga and champions is that next season will surely be worse and the differential factor will be pointed out.
Bellingham might lower his stats and it will be easier to blame a position change motivated by a newcomer.
The same with Vini. If we lose the sentence will be "Vini, the Ballon d'Or, is uncomfortable."

Yes, we've been very succesful without him this season so there's not a lot of margin to improve. Then with Kroos leaving we will definitely need to change something in the way we play.

Holy moly guacamoly it's official. OMG!!! So happy. Can't wait for next season. Endrick and Mbappe on top of Vini, Rodrygo and Bellingham. Happy days.

Must be nice being able to sign literally any and every player on the planet. Boring af saga though.

Win the UCL, sign Mbappe.

What a club

Mbappe joins a serious club finally. Glad he will be able to play his prime there. Wasted far too much time with PSG (from the sense that a player like him should be playing in a league where the world pays attention to him, and that just isn't the case in Ligue 1, whatever he does there is ignored).

Poor Rodrygo, guess he is the first off the bench or maybe 433 in smaller games. Might get sold next summer unless he accepts a reserve role.

Compare that front four with our front four!

There are at least three Ballon d'Or material in the front four there and I also hear good things about Endrick, who's joining them soon.

€125m signing bonus

Free transfer

This signing bonus is what allowed Madrid to cut massively Mbappé's salary to have it be slightly above their best players to not create tension in the dressing room and still give him what he's worth.

So glad that you explained. I was wondering why you said that? Muchas Gracias.

Feck off. Next season I will celebrate winning the CL with only one glass of Porto and one victory cigar :devil:

Biggest transfer of the summer. Will be exciting to watch how he, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham link up next season. Funnily enough, these things don’t always work out.
