Meh. It's just not exciting like this is it.

Billionaire buys 2 players for €400m. Fecking stupid. Surely UEFA can't let this slide especially after Barce got slapped, they won't stand for that.

How the feck are they not going to get punished for signing 2 players around 200m in one window, with money that isn't even theirs?,

No one. And no

Won't matter anyways barring long term injuries

That said, these sagas are starting to irk me. We need to get involved in one too. Too bad it's too late for Dybala...

I don't get why you don't think it will matter though. You lost 30 goals with James and Morata leaving. Surely going to the season with only one striker who is good enough is a problem?

Bale will probably be missing for half of the season again and I'm sure Zidane will be planning to rest Cristiano like he did last season. If Benzema gets injured for a while then what happens?

Can we now stop holding Lukaku up as justification for PSG spending? Its 400m on 2 players. How much higher is enough?

It's not even that I disagree with not buying him from your perspective, it's the deflective spin tactics that Zoo already mentioned, it's a hilarious watch. You've done that previously, even with Pogba iirc. You, as in RM and the media that's 6 feet deep their ass.
What, saying the player is asking for stupid wages we're not willing to pay? Heh, might be, might also be true that PSG are offering him that

Prefer him joining PSG to Madrid, from what we all saw on Tuesday they are strong enough as it is. It's a disgusting amount of cash though.

Yup. I'm pretty sure that 1) you'd probably pay them if you really wanted 2) he would probably take a pay cut if we go by what was reported by the Spanish mouthpieces of yours that he's a big fan, wants to join RM, spoke to Zidane, etc.

I said that the €222m release clause was good value for Neymar.

It's an absolute bargain relative to the prices being quoted for Coutinho, Mbappe, Dembele etc.

Neymar is worth at least 3 times the fee that any of those should command.

Incredible that it's really just Qatar FC? Don't really get people who are somehow impressed by any of this. Should be illegal. Less bothered about him going there than Real though, he'll regret the move.
I agree. It's not impressive or good in any way. Lets hope some Spanish rage gets UEFA going.

It's illegal in the sense that the LFP/French law(not sure which) doesn't recognize them. Nothing preventing player and club on agreeing to one anyways

It's actually not allowed to have clauses behind the LFP's back, every club have 15 days to communicate those clauses after that they take the risk to be sanctioned.(from a fine, to a ban for the players and/or the club officials if the clauses are against the law or rules of the LFP).

Well this is what football has come to. You can buy your way into glory. Atleast Mbappe is going to his childhood club.

If we're assuming Bale will miss half the season to injury anyways, we would have sold him. Morata's goals should be his. As for James, Isco and Asensio will play more, and likely also score more

Plus Cristiano hopefully won't be spending half the season playing into fitness

It's a risk, but that's the choice Flo and Zidane made

Don't get what you mean here. You saying you don't believe the report that PSG are offering him the 5th highest wage package in europe?

It's not sustainable. The World's best clubs want to be competing for the World's best players but it's not possible with oil rich arabs just throwing ridiculous sums of money at them. Not only will it feck the market for clubs that want to use their own money, but it'll feck the market for the smaller clubs, inflating the prices for the players they'll be competing for too.

Every club is going to expect an arm and leg for anyone that can kick a ball if this continues. It needs to be stopped. It's not money they earnt, which makes it even more ridiculous.

The big, powerful clubs like RM, Barca, MUFC, Bayern M. etc are not going to be happy about this.

PSG and neymar agree that should X offer come in, the player will be allowed to move. Nothing written. Don't Nice have a similar deal with most of their players already?

Are any good source running the story of him going PSG?

The only ones I see are newspapers banned from the transfer gossip forum.

As long as they are going to psg , i am not worried.

But the impact on the market for average players will be worrying.

I don't see it that way. I want the best players at different clubs, it's what breeds competition. I don't want the World's best players hoarded at one or two clubs like the Spanish clubs of late. We saw what happened with that, it almost killed all competition and the Spanish blew everyone out of the water in European competitions.

What Nice have is illegal, if reports are true, but I'm yet to see the LFP do anything about it preemptively. The main problem is that the club can reject it and dare the player to go to court because they will both get in trouble.

Their DF/CEO/whatever(Julien) openly spoke about it...

It's a great move financially and he'll keep winning all the domestic trophies, but what happens when he gets sick of playing against rubbish teams in France and wants to test himself in a more competitive league? Judging by the reported fee/investment, it's highly unlikely the PSG owners would let him leave even if he wants to, just as Verratti is finding out the hard way.

Best forward players alone dont makes one a champion and a dominant force, its more than that. Which at the moment psg dont have. Sure emery is a very good manager in the europa league but ucl is different ball game altogether and also for european victory's and dominance you need philosophies and implementation of that on a high level.

The midfeild and defense is vunrable in psg's case.

Which is true, but I think we're being naive if we think they're going to stop at forwards. If this isn't stopped sooner or later, they'll move onto the best midfielders and the best defenders next. There was already talk of them being interested in Dybala next year.

I know that's idiotic, everyone knows that Rennes had one with Dembélé, they also apparently told Dortmund and Dembélé that the clause had no value and that they could do one with their offer.

There are not many in the world like that, those are rare breeds difficult to find.

I'd be in favour of pulling out of the CL to form part of a European super league (minus PSG and City) at this stage.

They have one of the three best midfielders in the World, two top cbs and two good FBs.

It is in another sense of how interesting it will be to watch the circus unfold. I'd imagine CL viewing figures will be up. Also just on plain paper, the yawn fest that is Barca Madrid has seen two top players slip from their grasp.

I don't like how this is going though. For non oil clubs in less attractive areas it's going to be tough over the next 10-20 years.

Rabiot is also a very good midfielder in his own right. Dani Alves is along with Carvajal probably the best rb in the world, with their backup RB probably being the third best.
