PSG is obviously a step up, the odd season where ASM performed better doesn't change that.
He likes PSG, Paris is his home and he would like to come back closer to his family. Those are things no other clubs can provide.

I know it's impossible, but I would love to see a scenario where we pipped Madrid to signing Mbappe after signing Lukaku. The results would be hilarious. 
They'll get that money from Chelsea most likely, nothing has changed. The sale of Morata will not mean the purchase of Mbappe necessarily. I think only a sale of one of the BBC members means Mbappe is coming in this summer. Until then, it's either Monaco or PSG for me. Despite how unlikely it is that Monaco would want to sell to a direct rival, the Mbappe family for the most part want to see him play for their hometown so it's making me reconsider how unlikely it is that he actually ends up at PSG this summer.

I don't think they do, but the Spanish tax authorities are all over football at the moment, and FFP is biting big clubs hard, I would imagine Real are looking over their shoulders with big money moves.

I think what Madrid hopes for over anything is that Mbappé resists the temptation of PSG (and maybe the Veratti saga will make him realize it's hard to leave the club), and signs an extension with Monaco for another season. The timing is just off by a year or so.
He will still be 19 for another 5-6 months this time next year, so there is so much time to get this right rather than to rush him in the squad and risks breaking the harmony in the RM squad.

Signing Mbappé this summer hinges on one of the BBC leaving. Morata staying or not doesn't really affect that. We already have overbooking up top as it is, and selling our 6th choice forward(i'm including isco and asensio because that's who they will compete for minutes, mostly) doesn't exactly means we have space for a guy who wants to play way more than morata, isco, lucas or asensio did last season

I don't think we are, there hasn't been any link whatsoever and the only real story that's been out is that Mbappe is not a fan of Mou's style. We know he has been in contact with Zizou and PSG, so it would be known if there had been any official contact with Man Utd.

see normally i would laugh with you, but there is a fairly good case with wenger and french players. The guy has already met mbappe and agent multiple times and he was even in mbappe's house last year or year before trying to get him to move for what would have been for a pittance compared to now so there is a case here.
