Ramos, Marcelo, arguably Isco and Varane.

Ramos was way back so was marcelo and they are both defenders who aint got pressure to score goals and prove a huge price tag, Varane is also a defender and was more mature than mbappe and struggled to start over pepe most of the time. Isco was not even developed by madrid, he was ready made.

Mbappe has shown the unbelievable composure for a player of his age.

When was the last time real madrid developed a youngster into world beater? He will be instantly judged and thats huge pressure on 18 year old kids.

I don't think Mbappe needs to be developed, he just needs to play, get a little stronger, and that's it. He already has everything you want in a striker, and will simply get better with experience. We're not talking about a rough diamond here.

So Did Martial and dembele, Yet early days in his carreer. As you grow the mentality is a huge factor in learning and improving your level and consistancy. With a massive price tag as worlds most expensive player with real madrid judgemental crowd it will be a massive pressure on him. Absolutely massive.

People keep saying this but, the season Mbappe just had was much better than Martial ever had for Monaco and better than Martial's debut season with us(and I love Martial and hate some here have already given up on him). And the way people talk about Real's crowd I surprised they ever have any success. There is going to be pressure and criticism at every club it is part of the job.

Still he is no Messi Ronaldo Rooney level talent at this time as when they started. He will need to adjust to a higher level. In a right system and Philosophy even Martial put in a performance like mbappe under lvg, but as he was untested indifferent Philosophy he struggled to cope this season.

With Mbappe it is the same. He is untested in different styles and systems and only time will tell how he adapts and evolves.

Mbappe has had a better season than all three you mentioned at 18. His season was actually better than any of them could manage until 21-22. People will say it's Ligue 1 (which gets underrated so much on here, but whatever) but with 6 months of play-time and for a first season it's almost unheard of if you take into account the Champion's League performances.

Also Martial did not have a performance like Mbappe even under LVG, also Tony is someone you hear from a lot of people in the know that has always been a bit lazy when it comes to training and improving, so I wasn't surprised when his private life stories came out that he regressed (and I'm a huge Martial fan). I'm not worried about any of that with Mbappe, he will adapt and adjust. The only thing that can stop this kid from being a world-class player are injuries, everything else is inevitable as far as I'm concerned.

What Martial did against Liverpool under VG was explosive and better than anything Mbbappe has done IMO. It may be inevitable to you, and you could be right, however, they are many many players done the years who were hyped up the same. Anderson was the new Ronaldinho, Costa was been offered to us for millions, in fact there has been about 10 new maradonas, Messi and Ronaldinhos apparently. Nothing is nailed on, injuries or not.

As explosive as Martial can be, he doesn't do the basics very well.

Mbappe doesn't have a child with some vindictive woman, does he? Would be amusing if RM bought him for over 100m and he was dragged down to Martial's current level by off the pitch issues.
Martial in his first 6 months here looked almost as good as Mbappe has looked in the half season that has made him a 100m player.

If we are going to be selective, the game Mbappe had against France in the recent international was every bit as impressive.

He must be a really poor player to perform well against the team he is playing for.

If his relationship dint get strained that would be the best thing for his career and development, but sadly enough he certainly got distracted this season from personal issues and the mentality took a hit.

Neither does Mbappe, he looks quite raw at times.
I don't agree at all. His movement, finishing and ball control are all at a high level. He is also only 18.

Martials shooting and movement are his worst traits. In 2 years he hasn't really made any improvements in those regards which is worrying.

Martial's a very composed finisher, you'll have to explain that one. I've never seen him panic or rush a shot, only thing I can see is h should shoot more often. Movement yes, that can improve, if he had Rashford instincts he'd be a beast.

Martial's lack of composure in big games this year was the most worrisome thing for me. I hope/believe he will regain confidence and perform better this coming year. Mbappe, at 18, seems to have fantastic composure already even during the biggest moments.

His shooting technique I am referring too. He generally scuffs a lot of shots, sometimes going for the wrong type of shot at the wrong time.

He has improved his long shots recently which is good to see, but he's often fond of the finesse type shot when he needs to put his laces through it.

He's a generational talent. Whoever gets him is going to be very lucky. This kid is as close to a sure thing as you get.

Still he aint anywhere near as close to ronaldo messi or even neymar. He may be great potential but calling his a generational talent is premature until proven otherwise.

Let's wait and see. He showed tremendous promise so far but the next 2 years will be decisive. There were many overhyped players who did not reach that level

Wow Arsenal it is then. No way Mbappe can consider going to them this season then. Maybe he will stay put this season and wait for his move there. This might change Real's willingness to sell Morata and James though.

Just imagine he goes to Arsenal??

But I think you're onto something in terms of the domino effect for this summers transfers. I think both Morata and will leave regardless, as they never played much last year and hence they want to leave.

Real just gazumped Everton for Sandro who is a striker.

We should stump up the cash and see if he can develop in to a worldie.

We have been looking to buy a world class attacker for years and haven't secured one. Maybe Di Maria was but it didn't work out.

We stumped up cash for another Teenage Monaco player, not long back. Still mid way through that "Worldie" project!

With Arsenal set to sign Lacazette, I think it safe to say the slim possibility of them signing Mbappe is closed.

We have been linked much but I feel like it's one we could pull off.

It's hard to tell who is really interested in coughing up the mega fee it will take.

Think he will stay. I can't see why he'd be in a rush.
Get a serious pay rise, keep playing regularly and possibly a promise to revisit offers in the future.

Same here. With the WC next year, think he'll stay and move after that for huge money to Real.

Only PSG have made a concrete offer according to reports. Personally, I think it's Madrid or nothing with the latter being the more likely of the two. Madrid fans can be fickle but I don't think you can possibly justify letting go of Bale for Mbappe at this stage of their respective careers.

The thing to take into consideration as well is what Monaco is even going to look like by the start of next season. With Lemar being interested in leaving, Mendy wanting to join Manchester City, Fabinho heading towards PSG or somewhere in the Premier League, Silva already gone. This is going to be a completely different team now, and it might struggle and affect Mbappe's value.

I think this is the best time to sell Mbappe. Short of France winning the world-cup or coming close to it on the back of an Mbappe playing world-class football and scoring, I can't see Monaco getting more money from Mbappe than they would this summer because I don't see them going on a run like they did last season with so many new players coming in and learning how to play together.

Thought it was Martial that was being the idiot in that relationship?

It was perhaps Martial who cheated, but I got the impression she kept bothering him about money and stuff and making his life difficult long after they broke up, hence I call her vindictive. Maybe that's not the right word, English isn't my first language.

What asking him to financially support his child and trying to fight to keep her family together? Think that is more than fair to be honest. Martial on the other hand has acted like a twat in this.

Will say this again, Mbappe is the real deal. Anyone who watched him in the Champions League should be able to tell that he's a special talent that does not come along very often. The price being quoted is insane but this is football and in the long run he might be worth it. One thing I'll say is that I don't think Madrid is the best place for him in terms of play time and development.

Social media update!

No like or follow from a WAG but he deleted the @AS_Monaco @equipedefrance and @nikefootball mentions from his tweeter.

What does it mean? Probably nothing...
