What asking him to financially support his child and trying to fight to keep her family together? Think that is more than fair to be honest. Martial on the other hand has acted like a twat in this.
I haven't really paid attention to this saga but I seem to remember he was supporting her financially, she just wanted more. How has she tried to keep the family together? How has Martial been a twat?

Because of him, the track will probably extend its life for another two decades or so, feck. So many lulz though.

Damn you Kylian Mbappé, Mbappé, Mbappé, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du, yeah

You really need to ask?

An 18 year old world record transfer holder having to perform at the biggest, and currently best, club in the world. I don't envy him at all. I reckon it's going to be a real shit show in the first couple of seasons.

Social media update!

No like or follow from a WAG but he deleted the @AS_Monaco @equipedefrance and @nikefootball mentions from his tweeter.

What does it mean? Probably nothing...

How dares he? What Mbappe has going for him is that he's not going to get any death threats from Monaco fans... However Prince Albert could still jail him indefinitely?!

Nah, he's too good not to succeed there. He'll be fine. The kid is the business.

Apart from the rumored cheating that I've heard about, yes I need to ask. What else has he done wrong?

You've answered your own question. Imagine you or your daughter has had a kid/kids to a guy and next thing he's away humping someone else. You can't blame her for trying to get as much money as possible to secure her kids and her future. Martial has acted like a complete idiot in my book so lets just differ in opinion if you like as not really wanting to discuss.

It's really not Mbappe's call. Perez will decide if he wants to replace one of BBC with Mbappe right away or let him go to EPL or PSG and then sign him few years from now.

If that happened then it would be the call of his club no? :) I mean whether they sell him or not.

Monaco would be simply stupid to turn down the offer. I guarantee his value goes down next summer if he doesn't blow up at the world cup. This is the time to sell a kid you basically got for free with a world-record fee after having him played less than a full season, that is simply historically unheard of. I'd fire anybody in Monaco if they turned that down, and who knows if they even actually got an offer to turn down.

Long term I agree. I just think it's a lot of pressure for someone who hasn't had any down moments yet.

It's a good point. that's the thing with young players, they are often inconsistent because they lack the experience to understand how to deal with the inevitable upturns and downturns in both personal form and unrealistic media driven expectations.

:wenger: "Differ in opinion"? I haven't presented a single opinion. I was asking for more information as I haven't paid attention to Martial's off the pitch life. Why are you being difficult?

Sorry if it's coming over as that not meaning to be. I just took umbrage to you calling her vindictive as a young kid is involved and will be affected by all this. In my opinion if she's digging her heels in with him whilst he gets photographed with a reality TV star when she's looking after their baby I don't blame her. I hope she and the kid get well looked after and I'm a Martial fan but not impressed with all this.

If you haven't paid attention you shouldn't really be calling her vindictive.

Fair enough. Sorry, I jumped the gun by describing her in any way at all when I'm ignorant of the whole situation. I only picked up a first impression about her when I saw posts about her airing their dirty laundry on Instagram last summer despite the fact that Martial was paying her enough money to live comfortably on. Obviously Martial has been a scumbag with the cheating but I just got the impression that she wasn't exactly an angel either.

If you haven't paid attention you shouldn't really be calling her vindictive.
Fair point.

This lad will be sold this summer I recon with Real the destination. Big problem is it will mean one of the stars become less high profile and that's a big decision to make. I think most are keeping their powder dry......with the potential to maybe sign Bale?

Seems to be some momentum gathering behind the rumour that he is off. Think this will free up Morata and maybe Bale, when Real sort out the Mbappe deal.

I don't know what is going to happen but there is no momentum at the moment. Just a lot of papers printing empty articles day after day without adding anything that wasn't said 2 months ago.

Would imagine they'd try to offload him if Mbappe is brought in.

Probably the best time to get anything of value for him considering his injury problems.

I think he wants to stay obviously but Madrid needs its shiny new toys and he may be pushed to leave

Too true, next season his fee will still be high but nowhere the stupid sums mentioned in this window. Monaco are all about selling players to improve their clubs and if they keep selling good players other than him, he might actually tempted to leave too

Wish we were after him.

I have a feeling we have been informed that he would prefer other options.

Yeah, I doubt there are clubs who can afford him but don't want him.

True, though at the fees touted I am sure there are those that aren't willing to stump that much up even if they could.

In all honesty, we don't have a clue what he is going to do.

Ofcourse, not many clubs can afford that.

I mean clubs that can afford him also. The quoted fee, some may find ridiculous.

It absolutely is ridiculous by any standards, especially because at this price point you're really putting all of your money on performance based on 6 months of work. When you see world-record fees there usually always is a marketing aspect brought into the value of the deal. In this case, Mbappe is still not a world-renowned name.....he's getting there but based on rumors of a world-record deal more than on his performances at this point and he's not going to bring marketing revenue like a player of that price would without confirming his potential in a superior league. I absolutely believe he will, but what the hell do I know? It's still a gamble!

I've heard rumors left and right, but I'm not sure Monaco actually has received a single concrete offer that would be world-breaking, because I struggle to understand how they could turn that down given the historic profit they could make off a kid they only got 6 months out of without spending much of anything to get him to play for them. Even if Madrid sell Morata, I don't think it means Mbappe is automatically going to Madrid. He's moving to be a starter and that's complicated to offer for Madrid or any club that could afford the fee not named PSG (which Monaco is not interested in strengthening).

It's really not though. Clubs aren't stupid and they know what they're looking at. Mbappe is for real and he isn't going to disappear.

Yes he's only had 6 months of solid first team football, but he's only going to get better. If he can do this ALREADY what's he going to do once he's a seasoned pro?

You underestimate the marketing side of things also. Kids/Teenagers love him already, He's going to be the next big thing in football and is already known across the world thanks to social media.

At the prices being quoted, I doubt he goes to Madrid. Inda (Spanish journalist) said yesterday that Madrid are reluctant to go into bidding wars with desperate teams.

Question is if Monaco would really sell their star to their biggest domestic rival. That's the kind of thing only seen in the Bundesliga.

My money is on that he's staying.

You state these opinions as if they're facts. As you've said, he's only had 6 months of regular first team football. That simply isn't enough evidence to know anything for sure.

For you perhaps. For me and many other club scouts they believe the opposite.

Time will tell, but you can be brave and get the player or be pessimistic and miss out.

People who can't wrap there head around why the fee would be so high are short-sighted IMO.

The potential upside is massive. He could prove an absolute pinch.

Or he could not. If it was guaranteed he would be the new Henry, then it would be £300m plus at his age.

This is the level of player we should be bidding for this summer.
