People were saying the same shite about Pogba preferring Madrid too. Fact of the matter is, no one knows what he prefers. I would hardly take what Marca says as the truth either, they talk shite.
Also not buying him because of the assumption he'll move to Madrid is baffling. For starters there's no guarantee he'll move, because as I said no one knows what he wants. If Madrid do want him and he does want to go, they can pay a world record fee and we can use that money to buy a replacement.

I dont see anything to suggest either has a higher ceiling than the other.
The main difference is in their current environment. Mbappe is in a more nurturing environment (basically playing with house money), while Rashford is practically being tried by fire. If Rashford can nail down a starting place in the next 1-2 seasons, and Mbappe fails to move and earn a starting role at a big club by then, Rashford will likely leave him behind. The only limitation to Rashford's development I can forsee is if he spends his entire career in the PL.
Go to the Rashford thread and there are posters who believe Rashford has world class potential. Mbappe is the definition of a young lad with world class potential but I am happy to develop Rashford and buy a ready made striker already. Imagine if Rashford became Jamie Vardy level or Chicarito? thats incredibly handy to have that in your squad and from within our own ranks
Big difference with Pogba is he had a connection here, whereas Mbappe is huge CR7 fanboy and the prospect of playing alongside of him and or Zidane will be too tempting imo.

I have a feeling it's not going to be Griezmann or Mbappe or any other striker who will cost above 70m, it might be someone who we can get for a cheaper price. If the kid has any ambition, competition isn't a problem. Isco is more of a midfielder anyways, James isn't Zidane's favourite player, Bale spends all season injured, Asensio and Vazquez only play on the wing. Zizou loves Benzema but even he can't ignore the cries about his declining performance for years. Mbappe should get into the starting XI easily, in place of Benzema
