Atletico Madrid’s
Koke has shrugged off
news that
David Moyes was in Madrid last night watching as his side beat Porto 2-0.
Koke has long been thought of as United target but the 21 year old has insisted that he is happy at Atletico Madrid.
Last night
David Moyes headed to the Vicente Calderón to watch Koke as well as a number of Porto players the club had been linked with. With Moyes confirming that United would be in the market for players in January, it was assumed that he was watching Koke but the Spaniard has played down a move to England.
Speaking to Canal Plus, Koke said of Moyes’ visit:
“I didn’t know anything (about Moyes watching on), but I’m not concerned (with any of that). I renewed in the summer.”
It was confirmed yesterday that Koke has a buyout clause of £24m, so if that is activated Madrid will be forced to allow him to speak to suitors. But judging from his comments it appears that a move for him now may be a waste of time, especially when you look at how Atletico’s season is going.
