Koke

I'd like to think that after the Summer, if we were to bid this kind of money for Koke, we're doing so in the knowledge he wants to come.

I don't think they would lose any sleep if they swapped the two.

But they'll lose 40 million as well, if it was a straight swap it would make more sense, but a swap plus 40 million as well, Juventus would be laughing all the way to the bank.

Even if he doesn't want to come. His not going to turn is down if a bid is accepted.

He definitely would not be coming in the summer......By that point half the clubs in Europe will be after him...It's now or never for us and Atletico will not sell one of their best players mid season in what will be a record season for them unless they feel that Oliver Torres is ready to come in and fill his shoes right away

Yeah stupid move financial. But on general it wouldn't effect both teams. Expect for Juventus feeling very smug.

Sign him in January and loan him back to Atletico is only way I can see the deal happening.

Where would he play? On the right I assume?
Or you know in the middle which is his proper position and the position we have nobody in pretty much. He can play wide but he plays like a wide midfielder, not a winger. He's definitely more suited to the middle.

Who said anything about him playing as a winger? There's no reason why he can't play on the right for us and make the midfield more compact. Playing on the right does not mean he'll be asked to Valencia does.

He'd be straight into the first 11 in Cleverleys position if he came here.....kind of obvious don't you think even if he plays in wider positions for Atletico in this moment

Not obvious at all given that we'd be buying him after a season where he's not played in the middle.

I think it would be extremely obvious based on the fact that his prefered position is in the middle and that he is a tough physical player that can defend as well play the fast passing game as well as shred a defence open with impressive vision and his decent assist stats show that

you can't leave our best player out...

Rafael-----Smalling--Evans----Evra (Coentrao?)
------------Jones-------------
---Koke-------------Cleverley--
-----------Kagawa------------
-------RVP--------Rooney-----

anderson, fellaini, carrick, januzaj, Giggs, Nani, welbeck, Hernandez, young...+ lingard and powell if they come back.

we have so many players :S

can't we just hold with what we have until summer, despite whatever the results, and clean a little bit and plan for the future instead of fixing whats wrong right now?

Wasn't David De Gea from Athletico? If Koke does come to United, De Gea will be one of the main factors convincing the lad.

Can anyone give me one good reason why this guy would want to leave Atletico to join us?

Same for Gundogan

Because our club is one of the biggest in the world, able to win leagues and European cups rather often.

Atlético despite their nice run, will not win La Liga or the UCL. And Dortmund... well, you never know with them, but they are clearly not as good as previous years anymore, and several players will leave, so better to abandon the sinking ship now.

ps. if its money what they are after, then yeah... no idea.

Not that it should have been needed but the above is pretty much all correct, sadly Dortmund will gradually be stripped of all its best assets (including Klopp) and cannot possibly hope to replace them at the rate they lose them, their players will know this also.

Moyes decided to use Arteta wide, it'll be no surprise if he agrees with Simeone and thinks he should play there

This can definitely be done very simply - with big money.

He can double his wages here.

What is clear, time and time again, is that if we have almost any real competition for a player, we will not get him. If we steal a march on him and pay premium fees we can finally get a quality midfielder.

Has anyone really watched him regularly? Is he that good or is it just the desperation to sign a midfielder that has so many wanting us to buy him?

How good is he and what type of player is he?
