Does he have the players to play that way right now?

Yes I'd say he does actually! Sturridge, Cointinho, Ibe and Benteke. He will get width and get them playing attacking football which in a lot of games will mask their defensive issues! They'll be much better off with Klopp than they were before... And need I remind people they are only 4 points behind us despite being terrible so far. I said before the season started do not write them off, they are a threat to us. This appointment should it happen as expected reinforces that.

What's so funny? Reality?

Reality is LVG has done nothing yet in the Premier League to show he can win the title. And while that's also true of Klopp he has the philosophy that's more likely to succeed! Fast pressing football with goals and pace. That's how to play in England. Everything we aren't!

What's funny is that you are having a meltdown about a manager who hasn't even been announced yet, the premier league is way tougher than you think. Jose has won 1 league title in 3 seasons with a squad far superior to Liverpool so let's wait a bit till we announce how Liverpool are going to win league titles again

Not too long ago AVB was the dogs bollocks when he was taking over Chelsea. Going undefeated in 3 comps and doing a mini treble (Europa League) I think with Porto the season before. Klopp is a bit more proven winning the bundesliga and reaching the CL final, but the point is there's no need for the doom mongering. There's every chance his reign ranges from poor to middling, as opposed to being an unparalleled success. Sometimes everything clicks and other times at other places it doesn't click so well. We just need to focus on ourselves rather than worrying about a team that are only Europa League standard at the moment.

I don't think they'll win the league. I do think they'll finish above us which means maybe missing out on top 4. We aren't competing for the title so that's not an issue.

You're about as optimistic as Sam. Are you seriously worried about finishing in the top 4? We're 2 points off the top and 8 points ahead of a Chelsea side in crisis.

a fecking embarrassment is what this thread is becoming, grow up kids.

Ballbalg trolling, doesn't know shit. Hasn't he made daft predictions on United more than a few occasions?

Like any journalist, he is reliable when he reports news that the Caf wants to hear and unreliable when he reports news that the Caf doesn't want to hear.

Some wet blankets in here. It's Liverpool. They'll blatantly get the clueless 14/15 version of Klopp.

It's what they do. Even the occasional good decision they make ends up shit. The place is cursed, and the chalice lined with arsenic.

Wonder if those who follow the Bundesliga could talk about how he starts at clubs, Liverpool in their next six games have Spurs, Southampton, Chelsea, Swansea, Crystal Palace and Manchester City. A slow start and they could be well down the table.

We're gonna win the league!

Nah but seriously though, Klopp to Liverpool would even turn a negative twat like myself into a positive fan. Can't wait.

Hypothetically which players do you think he'll take a liking to and which do you think he will send packing? I imagine he'll be wanting to shake things up a fair bit.

I've a really weird feeling he'll like Joe Allen.

Van Gaal is so stubborn that he might very well find a way to win the league.
And reality is he has taken us from 7th to 4th in a year, and we're currently two points off the top. Just because we lost away to Arsenal in a bad way doesn't mean we can't win it this or next season.

As for Klopp and Liverpool, lets wait and see how he does before we call the whambulance.

Btw, there are other ways to win the league than fast pressing as you put it and I'm sure that when Van Gaal retires after next season we will have a very good foundation for adapting our 'philosophy' if needed, which I'm sure we'll do.

I do admit it's annoying to see Klopp go there, but there's no guarantee he would have succeeded here, or will do there for that matter.

Who cares if he plays alongside Gündogan and Götze though? Oh and apparently we're getting Reus as well

Unsure to be honest. Don't really see a Milner-Henderson midfield (when fit) happening much under him, would like to hope Mignolet would soon be moved on, Lallana scrapped. That's just my hunch though, really it's probably more of a reflection of my own preferences than his.
