Klopp and Liverpool celebrating a home draw to WBA (video added to OP)

He could shit in a bag and throw it at the Kop and they'd interpret it as a gesture of how Klopp 'gets' Liverpool.

He's a new manager with a lot of goodwill still, if Rodgers' was the one doing it it would be the Liverpool fans jumping on his back first.

It happens with everyone, if and when the Scousers turn on Klopp they'll point to stuff like this as the proof Klopp doesn't get English football culture.

For the rest of us, its just funny to laugh at him celebrate a home draw with WBA like they've won the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp's a bellend
He wears a bellend's hat
And carries round a magic bag
In which he's had a crap

Klopp is a pillock. Moaning at WBA for playing as they did. It's up to him to get his team set up to outwit them and he failed.

And as for that moronic celebration at the end:lol:Hilarious!

I can see what he is trying to do. He would've been better off just waiting for a late winner or a really dominating home performance to introduce it though. To do it after scraping a 2-2 draw at home to WBA is bit cringe worthy.

Over 200 replies about the fact that Liverpool celebrated a late draw. The state of the people on this board, a-fecking-mazing.

What else are we going to talk about? Misery loves company, and right now, we're a miserable club.

Even more a-fecking-mazing when the point goes over someone's head. Don't think anyone is bemoaning them celebrating scoring a late equaliser...it's the cringeworthy manner of the celebration.

I'm not talking about the general undercurrent of Van Gaal's performance, that's absolutely justified, don't confuse that with the critique of the individual performance, they are two very different things. Unfortunately people seem unable to seperate the two.
One game cannot be looked at in isolation when its importance is affected by previous games.

Thats not my intentions I assure you. lets change it to defend then, it's the same point. Klopp has done absolutely nothing to justify such admiration at Liverpool except being popular.
I'm not defending him either. Merely pointing out they played with more effort to push for a goal than we have in many games we've needed to win. I care little for Klopp I can assure you. You can't really compare him to Van Gaal yet so I don't know why you're getting your panties in such a bunch.

I think this thread shows perfectly well how sanitized the English game has become and how disconnected players and teams appear to be from their fans.

That's actually insane. Obviously rescuing a point is good and all, love a last minute goal but come on. Reminds me of the Moyes fulham gif, even then, it was just him and were leading at the time.

Who really cares? And honestly, given the current of our team, I'm not about to have a go rival's celebration, whatever the circumstances.

The thing I dont get about the whole "saying thanks to the fans" is, did he do this at the other home matches? If its something hes going to do every match (regardless of result) fine, but really should have been done during his first home match.

I think his passion is great. Got no issue with it - especially when they snatched a result in the 7th minute of extra time.

Same too with when Moyes does the double-fist pump with the Fulham draw.

Being in that position in the first place is another matter though.

I think we should do it, too.
It would be nice to see more than one of our players in the opposition penalty area.

It's an idea alright, after another sh*te performance these overpaid princesses should line up in front of us in apology, we could bring rotten fruit and pelt them before they hit the showers to think about what they've done. They'd get over it fairly quick when they drive home to their mansions in their six figure value cars. I have a kiwi that would go square between Fellaini's eyes.

Here is the real question: Where is Mignolet?

Besides if this is cringeworthy and the players don´t really want to be there, wouldn´t Klopp win again? Basically saying you might as well win the game, cause you be doing this every week. I won´t let you rush to the shower, your sports cars and the next two hos waiting at home.

And the other side is obviously trying to connect with the fans. After he bitched about them leaving early at the same score it makes sense to thank them for the support. I don´t think they´ll leave the next time the team is down 1-2. Mission accomplished.

There is a method to the madness. Klopp is emotional, but he´s also calculating. He didn´t tell Mignolet that he´s awesome, cause he truly believes it. He did it, cause he has no other keeper till the summer and he wanted to build up his confidence. If you tell everybody your goalie is shit, you also pay 5-10M extra on the transfer market.

Very true. May the Bundesliga never get into this state.

Nonsense.
Acknowledging the fans is one thing. There is no problem with players and the manger going over to the fans after every game and thanking them for their support. Applaud them, spend more time off the pitch interacting with them.. Do any thing you want

It'd be great to see teams interact more with their fans. That is always welcome .

Locking hands and doing what they did last night was a celebratory gesture.. And that came after a result that didnt need to be celebrated.
That is what made it funny. Not that they go over to the fans after matches.

Exactly, a bit surprising that so many opposition fans can't see the stupid side of this.

Like someone said, the only reason people are trying to defend this is because it's Klopp. Even the ones defending him here would have been laughing if it was LvG, Brentan, Jose or Wenger doing it after dropping two points at home to WBA and Tony fecking Pulis.

I got home to see the scores last night. Liverpool have a brilliant habit of making shitty weekends seem not so bad after all.

Then I see the celebration. Oh my, hands held proper cup winning celebration. Love it.:lol:

It's hardly uncommon for Premier League teams (or individual players, or even managers) to interact with fans after goals or important wins. The lack of a standardized gesture (that is anything but spontaneous by its very nature, but rather a potentially hollow ritual) is supposed to make English football more "sanitized"?

Bollocks, if you ask me. But I suppose different folks will have different opinions on the matter, unsurprisingly.

Sir Alex had plenty of connection with fans. He didn't need to high five them and celebrate poor results to prove it. But more importantly, he saw draws at home to teams like West Brom as two points lost. At best, that was a "phew, at least we got a point result". Not a "we've done it, we could have been 3 points behind 4th and then 6 points behind, but now we're 5 points behind woooooh".

Then why continually jump on the LVG comparisons then? It's becoming a little obsessive with you, has he wronged you in another life?

Sky Sports News trolling Liverpool.

Showed the video and said "Have Liverpool just won the Champions League? The Premier League? No, they've just drawn with West Bromwich Albion. Is there any truth in the rumour that the open top bus is being revved up for a result against Watford next week?"

:lol::lol:

It is possible to speak about a game in isolation you know, that's why we have individual match day threads.

Do any one know if he used to do this after every match for Bvb, even after draws and defeats ? If answer is yes then it's not a celebration, just his way to connect with fans.
