Even the players look embarrassed
That's right. Just ignore the actual reason. Makes far more fun (though it's totally inane) to believe it's for saving a point. That's bs. It's not a standard German football practice to try to push fans to celebrate a point against a very mediocre team.
That's absolutely valid if it was before the Newcastle game - they were in a great run 6 wins in 7 games or something. But the last 3... It's more like a mini crisis rather than a "momentum".Though that IS improvement. 4 losses in last 25 matches and 2 in the last 19 I think it is (not sure if I read that stat before or after the Newcastle match).
I swear to god I started swearing at the screen when they showed that on sky. I believed they scored and won 3-2.
Then I saw 2-2 and I burst into fits of laughter at the screen.
I did apologise to the telly for the swearing.
Exactamundo.
That is completely different. We had just scored what we thought was a winner. Klopp celebrated a HOME draw the way teams celebrate titles or the way non league clubs celebrate a scalp.
If we did that you'd be pissing yourself laughing. Take the blinkers off for just a moment. That's right. Just ignore the actual reason. Makes far more fun (though it's totally inane) to believe it's for saving a point.
They're showing appreciation to the fans. Not exactly celebrating the point. Not the first time it happens.
Yeah right, they had their encore planned no matter the outcome of the game. That's right. Just ignore the actual reason. Makes far more fun (though it's totally inane) to believe it's for saving a point.

If Klopp wasn't responsible there would be zero defence of this and just pages of green laughing smileys.
They are embarrassing themselves. Not the first time it happens.
He wasn't just saluting the fans. He celebrated alone on the sideline when the game ended.Don't know what's embarrassing about saluting the fans regardless of the score.
the fact that so many people on here view it as such tells me more about the modern English fan culture than about Klopp or Liverpool.
Jheez, how embarassing was that?
Could you imagine if LVG and our players done the same after our draw to WHU last week?
If someone has a gif of that would be much appreciated.
I didn't say it was inspiring. You're an aggressive little one. The LVG out thread is heaving because of a combination of factors over an 18 month period. Not one game.Smashing that long ball repeatedly, leaving themselves wide open at the back and scoring through a lucky deflection sure was inspiring. In the same circumstances the LVG out thread would be heaving right now.
Yep.
Pretty interesting tbh, the amount of meanspirited derision towards a team going to their fans after a game, which is just a basic, self-evident act in German stadia.
It's Liverpool of course and this is a United forum, but still.
Of course, in PL it's considered an outrage and actually fine-worthy if you don't face TV cameras after a game..
Looove your user name !And just for the fun of it:
Not really and the fact that so many people on here view it as such tells me more about the modern English fan culture than about Klopp or Liverpool. This behaviour in Germany would have been an absolute nontopic as this is expected in pretty much every stadium. After every game you go to your support, no matter the outcome. It´s called engaging the fans, showing that the team or at least you as coach cares. It is pretty obvious that this was more about celebrating the crowd for staying and witnessing a late time qualizer than the actual result.
There is a clear lack of connection between his club and the fans, which was shown when several left early before in this season, something that Klopp voiced several times including the presser before the game. He asked them for support and later showed his gratitude for doing so. All he is trying to do is rebuild the severed connection again, to makes them feel like actually suporters and not just costumers. His ability to engage crowds and draw them in was always one of his greatest strengths, one of the reason he was so loved at Dortmund long before he won titles. The guy genuinely cares what his support thinks and acts accordingly to it.
Actually I wouldn't. He did the same thing at Dortmund, it's to thank the fans. Anyone not realising that is just oblivious of his history. If we did that you'd be pissing yourself laughing. Take the blinkers off for just a moment.

If you can't be arsed reading the thread (the explanation is back there) then I can't be arsed going over it again. So you've done it under every game under Klopp yeah?
Ibe has a hard on and Milner looks constipated.
Are you surprised ? After United lost to Bournemouth any light relief is appreciated to brighten up the weekend !It's really confusing, the state of this thread. You see fans whistling and booing their players and they call it embarrassing, they should support the players no matter what. Now you have a 96 minute equaliser, after fans showed their support and didn't leave early as it happens, players and coach go and salute them. A nice gesture. Yet you get the same comments here.
