Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

Huntelaar is not especially a target man .. he's more of a 'fox in the box' type of player. I doubt Huntelaar will come to Spurs, but if he did then he and Crouch would probably be an effective partnership, just as Crouch and Defoe have already proven to be.

Trouble is they would both expect to play if they go there, and you already have Pavlyuchenko, Keane and Defoe, all of whom have be signed less than 12 months ago. Signing Crouch alone is pointless enough, signing both him and Huntelaar just crosses the line.

You'd have to spend all game swinging crosses into the box though. They wouldnt really have a threat in behind with their pace. And I'm not sure your wingers were really designed for whipping balls in from the byline all game.

Marca are reporting that Arsenal have bid 17m Euros for Huntelaar.

Marca are just recycling a story from the Sunday Express (chopping out the bit about Lee Cattermole). Won't happen.

Ill be disappointed if he goes to Arsenal. Not so much because they are our rivals as because I dont think we will see anything like the best of Huntelaar when he is playing for them. As far as our club is concerned, that is obviously a good thing, but for my own personal satisfaction I would like to see Huntelaar go to a club where I really think he could perform.

Which makes you a bit of a fanboy.

Well he started 4 of them, he was just taken off in all of them at around the 60th minute for being a bit rubbish.

meh, i would just like to see how he would perform in the EPL, same with several players, Messi being another example. I do think our league is the toughest one, with the highest standard of defending and physicality - and it is a good way of measuring a player.

Didn't he start slow at Madrid as well? And when he first scored the floodgates opened?

AC MILAN, Huntelaar will leave
AC Milan officials are planning to offload their disappointing Dutch striker Jan-Klaas Huntelaar (26). Rumours suggest he will be released next summer, but there is also a chance to loan him in January.

Leonardo never wanted Huntelaar. He wanted Fabiano but he couldn't get him because he costed too much. The Dutch international simply doesn't fit in their system and ended up being used as a scape goat.

there have been rumours of him joining spurs. I would really like to see how he handles the EPL if that was to happen.

Read it was him going to Spurs, Pav heading the opposite direction.

AC have been terrible this season and he doesn't play in their system. I don't want him here and can't see him going to Spurs as they already have Crouch in that mold. Spurs need an up and coming young striker for their 4th.

How is Huntelaar in the same mould as Crouch?

I don't see the similarities at all, if anything it's Defoe that's similar to Huntelaar - both being out and out poachers.

I could see Harry going for some kind of Pav - Huntelaar swap, but I don't see him being willing to include Bale in the deal.

Why? Because we already have 3 good strikers apart from Pav, but Bale is our only left-footed LB apart from Ekotto, and also because Bale has too much potential (won't be 21 until next summer) to let go right now.

To be honest i don't see the big rush for Harry to get 4 strikers... he doesn't need them. Pav is just being wasted at the moment you have a decent rotation with Crouch-Defoe-Keane at the minute and its not like your a top 4 club. The need for four proven strikers will only harm your wage bill not improve the team neither United-Pool-Chelsea have 4 proven strikers at the minute and they are not looking short up top either.

Not a bad return looking at the state of Milan at the moment!!!!

Hes a goal scorer, once he settles properly somewhere he'll start banging them in again. Thats a certainty.

6 games
0 goals
0 assist
0 shots

without wanting to defend Huntelaar mindlessly, the fact that he hasnt had any shots tells a story of its own - specifically about how shite Milan are right now. If the likes of Rooney went 6 games without having any shots then we would be shocked - because our buildup play means that he will be almost guaranteed chances every game, but that is more down to the buildup and team play than individual brilliance 9 times outta 10.

We can't consider him as a flop because whole Milan is shit this season.

Wait till January, February. I'm sure he'll show his abilities in Serie A.
