What do you think of Keylor Navas as David De Gea's replacement?

£29.1m for De Gea plus Navas. While not ideal, that's a decent trade given all of the circumstances.

So how good is he? I didn't expect us to sell De Gea and get a keeper in for almost 30 million.

My concern is that he doesn't actually want to bloody be here. Either way, I'd be more confident with him as #1 than Romero.

now following the modus operandi shouldn't they report it as 40 million GB pounds?

Navas will be better than Romero, so I'm delighted.

Everyone reporting it now... De Gea = Navas + cash. I think it is a decent deal for us. Navas is better than Romero in my book

So both our new GKs were not first choice for their old clubs.

Effectively it's still a record GK sale. The total value of the transfer is at least 40 million pounds. I think it's a fine deal all things considered and I'm reasonably comfortable with Navas as our no. 1 going forward.

This deal was probably placed into turbo-drive after Romero's display against Swansea.

Don't think the talk of him not wanting to leave really means anything. He wants to succeed at the club he's with, it'd be a bigger problem if he didn't in my view.

If he leaves then I am delighted with this deal. 30million which we wanted plus navas who looks quality? Nice.

Seemed solid whenever I've watched him, and he managed to keep (a declining) Casillas out. Hopefully we can get a good service out of him.

Well could be worse (if true..bit skeptical when dealing with 'The Virus')

It's a fantastic deal really. We knew Real would get desperate so instead of spending 25 million pounds on Cillesen or 35 on Lloris we're now getting a keeper who's as good as the former and almost as good as the latter for nothing. It's good business, there's no denying that.

Wasnt Navas the keeper LVG supposedly wanted when he first came in?

It's not a good deal. We're replacing de Gea with Navas. Ignore the money, it's irrelevant to us apparently.

What are the chances LVG's chosen GK just happens to be on Real Madrid's bench? None. It's a mess.

Thank God ...Romero reminds me of Taibi, he looks like there is a mistake in him every time the ball approaches him.

Would have saved the 2nd goal, i could ebt my house on it. At least if he was up for it, like the weekend for Real.

Who is capable of replacing DDG that is available? No one really, so calm yourself.

Any deal that prevents Romero from being our #1 choice is a good deal by me.
