An English club has made/ had a €22m bid accepted apparently. This is according to twitter which is apparently based on Sky Italia reports.

Would be very happy if this was us, if true. He's a center midfielder, exactly the type we need, so it can't be us.
 
Rumours a couple of days ago saying Liverpool were in for him. I hope we get him. 22 years old, an international and playing at a good level. Think he'll go in the summer. He said he wanted to win the league with PSV.

Can't see Liverpool getting him, BR seems pretty happy with his options in midfield, not that Strootman isn't better than what they have already. If anybody needs a player of his type it's us and Arsenal. We've got a pretty good dutch thing going on here though. It's likely bollocks but I think it would be the ideal signing right now. You should always buy from a position of strength and a strong center midfielder would really help to see us over the line this season and significantly increase our European chances. Far too reliant on Carrick. Any injuries to him, we're fecked.
 
How good is this guy?

The transfer forum has heralded so many young midfielders over the years who have not quite made it, it makes you a bit skeptical.

In terms of his age, and the type of club he is at, he looks like exactly the type of player United could sign, although not mid-season.

So how good is he genuinely and what type of player is he? I can't remember noticing him at the Euroes and I normally get a good look at the transfer forum favourites in European and international football rather than their domestic leagues.
 
His name isn't Spanish or Portuguese, do not want.

Didnt look a midfielder worth a fair bit of money when I saw him against Ajax thats for sure
 
Why would Sky Italia have the exclusive on an English club bidding on a Dutch player?

From that above video, he reminds me a younger Michael Carrick with more ability on the ball. And also PSV play some sexy stuff!
 
I think we need someone like Strootman or Fellaini this summer. We have to buy some cover for Carrick. Preferably the former since he is younger and might come cheaper.
 
Left footer? That would be interesting. Have we had any other genuine left footed deeper central midfielder besides Anderson?

He looks to me more of a run and gun type midfielder in the way that Carrick is more of a playmaker and a defender in space. I cant from those video's see how well Strootman would develop having to pull strings but as a ball winner he looks quite solid. Very good in the challenge.
 
Not sure if theres any truth in it but that fella David Johnson, has been right a lot of times in the past, said there was truth to the Strootman rumour when asked on twitter.

So i reckon he's a left footed version of van Bommel? I actually wouldn't mind a van Bommel at United in his prime
 
Miguel Delaney has said that he has been outlined as a target for the summer.

Personally, if we are interested it would be the summer when a move would be made. If he is similar to Carrick then he would be a decent investment and he hits the profile of the type of player I could see us signing(young, Dutch, in right of league,etc ).
