Manchester United have contacted PSV midfielder Kevin Strootman over a summer move to Old Trafford, according to the player's agent.
Chiel Dekker confirmed the tough tackling 22-year-old is interested in a move to the Premier League.
'All the top clubs in Europe know about Kevin, but a move to England next summer is his first priority and, yes, Manchester United and other big clubs in Europe have been in touch with me," he told talkSPORT.
The Red Devils have been chasing the £20million rated enforcer for some time but face competition from the likes of AC Milan and Real Madrid.
United will be kicking themselves for turning down the chance to sign midfielder Strootman for less than £10m in 2011, when he was at Utrecht.

At the end of the day quality is quality. Game changers are what makes te diffrenece in matches. We can list all the AM we have but at the end of the day we're still not well oiled in the final 3rd. No one wanted a winger in the summer either.
Ajax are playing PSV now, so for anyone wanting to wach him against decent opposition over 90mins, I suggest finding a stream or something.

Wasn't noticable to be honest. Not that he did a lot of things rubbishly, more a case of the game passing him by. Would need another audition in my eyes.
