um.. he is.
8.11 rating vs Arsenal, 7.5 vs Chelsea, 8.23 vs Barcelona, 8.92 vs Man Utd. Having watched these matches I agree with the ratings. In fact I can think of only 1 big game where he wasn't Citys best player and that was Barcelona away. Your comment is absurd. I doubt there are any players in this league who perform to his level in the big games. The mentality aspect is just clicheHe's not the best in the league for me, his big game performances don't match up to his obvious ability, not a fat track bully per se, but there are players in this league with as much talent while having more stronger mentalities.

Nope not absurd, Coutinho is definitely a better big game player, he affects the game in all aspects in a way De Bruyne doesn't when on form, his passing, goals, assists pressing and tackling the examples you mentioned are actually a couple of a few examples i can remember of De Bruyne dominating the game in the same way, the thing with him is that he has so much quality that you can't really keep him out the game for 90 mins without him doing something special, a cross a pass, but in terms of actually dominating big games someone like Coutinho is better, more inspirational, and with him now shortening the gap in terms of output, he is a lot more likely to go to one of the top two Spanish clubs for that same reason.
Coutninho rating - 7.08 vs Man Utd, 7.95 vs Chelsea, 8.83 vs Arsenal, 6.62 vs Spurs - dunno where you are getting this idea from. He has shone in only 2 big games but kay.
The ones I listed are all the big games De Bruyne he has actually played in this season.
You're doing it wrong
De Bruyne has been here for 1 year. he also has big game performances vs Bayern Munich and in a cup final if you check the thread. Still see no justification that Coutinho is THE big game player. I feel Hazard is grossly overrated. Even in his POTY season, I preferred Mahrez last season and Bale in his spurs season but that's just meMaybe you should stop going on ratings, over the last couple years he's had big performances and scored against every team you mentioned, i don't need to check ratings cause my memory is quite decent. But if i did go back over the last two seasons and check whoscored i'm sure they will validate what i'm talking about.

I think Hazard is almost the same, in that season Chelsea won the league, he was their main playmaker, dribbler, one of their biggest goal threats all while keeping his guile and inspiration, i wouldn't say Coutinho is yet better than De Bruyne but HAzard for me is(and the best player in the league) and i would take both of them over De Bruyne but thats just my opinion.
De Bruyne can't shine in a star studded Man City side like Coutinho does for Liverpool. Just the fact that he is their best player by far and manages to produce such outputs consistently against strong opposition speaks volumes about his ability and mentality.Nope not absurd, Coutinho is definitely a better big game player, he affects the game in all aspects in a way De Bruyne doesn't when on form, his passing, goals, assists pressing and tackling the examples you mentioned are actually a couple of a few examples i can remember of De Bruyne dominating the game in the same way, the thing with him is that he has so much quality that you can't really keep him out the game for 90 mins without him doing something special, a cross a pass, but in terms of actually dominating big games someone like Coutinho is better, more inspirational, and with him now shortening the gap in terms of output, he is a lot more likely to go to one of the top two Spanish clubs for that same reason.

Ah the "goes missing in big games" train has stopped at De Bruyne I see, who's next, Iniesta?

Coutinho goes missing in big games and he's not as good as Hazard or De Bruyne. He's been in the PL longer too.
What ones? He's the 2nd best big game player after Mata(number 10's) according to goals and assists.
You just said you don't use stats but see with your eyes. Which is it?

No bias. Think you'll find little disagreement with him being world class.I was unsure how to take him when we first signed him, especially for that kind of fee. He was (and still is) the record holder for most assists in a Bundesliga season, and he did so in a Wolfsburg side. No offence. He barely featured at Chelsea and there were rumours of a poor attitude. I doubted him before he kicked a ball but I was wrong, and happy to admit it.
The lad is sensational. I know I'm a blue so I'm bound to be biased but he's just world class. His ball delivery in particular is outrageously good. He maintains impressive numbers despite being shifted out wide to accomodate David Silva. He dismantled Barcelona in our group win over them, and this is something I thought I'd never see in my life.
His goalscoring has dried up a little, he hasn't scored in eleven games now. However he has hit the woodwork six times, more than any other player so he's been a bit unlucky.
Is there any team in the world he wouldn't get into?
Pogba. However he has hit the woodwork six times, more than any other player.
Pogba.
Pogba hit it 5 times I think.Am I wrong? I got that information from a Squawka tweet which was six days ago so could be outdated.

Kinda have to agree with this. He is an excellent player. Top top player for a top team. But when his team is struggling, he isn't going to change things with a individual piece of play. Sort of like Mata. In top form, one of the best players of the league but not the best. There probably isn't a place that overrate KDB as much as the Caf.
FFSCorrect. He's above hazard as well for me.
