A lot of really high-profile players have more than one agent these days, sometimes one for each major league. It's the second most important factor in Adebayor coming across as such a cock last summer (the most important factor being that he is, in fact, a cock)
I think that's why it's possible to get such contradicting claimes and counter-claims surrounding big-money transfers. Lots of pigs with their snouts in the trough and all snorting their little heads off.
