It's rather sad that Madrid is so much more attractive a destinations for so many top players these days.

Maybe someone should tell Benzema that it's going to be fecking boiling in Manchester in the summer from now on, I just checked outside, and can confirm reports that Manchester have agreed in principle a deal with Hot weather in the summer.

Now all these pussy footballers can stop moaning about the weather in England, FFS you come to play football not to keep warm 24/7.

Yes because during his Juventus stay he was doing 1 mistake after another and was replaced by a much better keeper. Stating that I presume you see the difference between VDS and Valencia talent dont you?
Let's see, one of the better wingers in the league.. sure he's no world beater, but doesn't mean he would be a bad signing. We still have class players in the squad.. some are going on and on as though we really are a one man team.

:wenger::lol: they've signed two of the hottest players in the world (Kaka, Ronaldo), have a shit loads of talent as it is and are linked with some more world-class signings....whereas we have arguably about umm 4 world class players in the entire squad....sorry to burst your bubble but at this current state, Barca and Madrid have a much better squad than us:

SSN: Massive bid received and not from Real. They also showed footage of SAF meeting Benzema, Fergie looked really quite chuffed. The dream move is back on.

That was old footage, they keep showing it today. They also said that Lyon had said that the bid wasn't necessarily from Real.

madrid do not have a better team than us right now. I think a little bit of respect should be shown to the Manchester United players.

You clearly have no idea how this football malarkey is done. There's this really complex formula that is used to decide who wins each match.

All of the most pessimistic, might as well slit their own throats, right now, United fans get to rate the United players. Every one of them is given 2/10, except for Rooney who is really highly rated, so he gets 3.

They then rate the Real Madrid players, and they are all given 10/10, except for Royston Drenthe, who is really rubbish, so he only gets 9.

And so, the team with highest overall rating wins each match. There's really no need to actually stage a match or anything, and the managers have become all but superfluous.

Or so you'd think.....

I still think he will probably end up with that government supported spanish tossers

Real deal? Lyon deny that Real Madrid have beaten Manchester United to £30m Karim Benzema
Lyon have denied claims in Spain that Real Madrid have completed the £30million signing of Karim Benzema.
In fact, the French club say they have received a bid far superior to the figure widely quoted by Spanish media.
Manchester United are determined to land the France striker are thought to be prepared to offer closer to £38m.
The websites of Spanish newspapers Marca and AS say the 21-year-old's transfer to the Bernabeu as a done deal, but there has been no official announcement from the Spanish giants and Lyon have moved to quash the reports.
Lyon communications chief Olivier Blanc said the story was 'unfounded' and told respected French newspaper L'Equipe: 'The Marca report is substantially wrong in substance.
'We've received an offer of an amount substantially greater than the amount raised, but not to say that it comes from Real. There is no agreement with anyone.'
Benzema is tomorrow due to report back at Lyon after summer vacations when the club's boss Claude Puel will ask the player about his intentions.
Speaking before Lyon today admitted there had been bids, Puel said this week: 'We know his importance to Lyon and his effectiveness in our group: he is an exceptional player, but we also know financial data of a club.
'We will meet up with him when he comes to us on July 2. For several months, he has said he wanted to stay with us, with one year until the World Cup.
'If he has ambitions to leave we will discuss with him any concrete offers, which at the moment is not the case.'
Lyon are well advanced with negotiations for Porto striker Lisandro Lopez and Toulouse forward Andre-Pierre Gignac, while team-mate Miralem Pjanic has admitted he is convinced Benzema is heading for Old Trafford.
Spanish reports said Madrid would confirm Benzema's arrival later on Wednesday or on Thursday. The club's president Florentino Perez warned the next signing would come in a 'day or two' after unveiling new £56m superstar Kaka at the Bernabeu on Tuesday evening.

I've already got Karim Benzema tattooed on my penis. Left space for number after it too, as well as a small biography of his career so far.

It may be time to swtich off the TV and internet for a while

Did that really happen.

He's a WUM. We know from the original quotes in Equipe that the Lyon spokesman denied that anyone had said that Madrid had made a massive bid. He did not say that Madrid had not made a massive bid.

Just Fergie doing his usual tapping up!! It looks old though probably when we played them in the Champs league. We should kidnap him like Chelsea done Mikel.

Like I said, wait for the Balague!!!

Easily converted into a Chaka Khan tat. No embarrassment whatsoever!

It'd be shit if we only went around buying players who were "lifelong United fans". We should buy players on the quality, and whether or not they have the personality to work and succeed.

I am not saying we should buy "lifelong United fans".

I am saying I want our players to see United as the pinnacle of their careers.

Big difference.

Why oh why do people want United to sign a player who would whore himself to Real Madrid at first opportunity???

Benzema has his pick of clubs. Why on earth would he sign for us over Madrid and then straight away start looking to move?

Do you even think at all about what you post these days?

shit, is this old?

Widespread reports in Spain and France have suggested Real are closing in on the signature of the France international.

Benzema's future has been the subject of intense speculation for the last few weeks, with United also credited with an interest in the striker and Miralem Pjanic claiming they will win the race for the 21-year-old.

However, Benzema's agent claims Real have won the race for the forward's signature after agreeing a fee of 35million euros with Lyon.

Karim Djaziri has told French radio that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs and that only personal terms and a medical need to be completed to see the move go through.

If the striker makes the move to the Bernabeu he will become the Spanish giants' fourth big-money arrival of the summer following the captures of Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul Albiol.

Lyon see things differently, however, with director of communications Olivier Blanc telling L'Equipe: "We certainly did receive an offer of a sum appreciably superior to the sum that has been mentioned, but nothing says that it comes from Real. There is no agreement with anyone."
