At the comments in here about Ajax selling their talents for cheap
Kluivert himself said pretty much said he was signing a new contract a couple weeks ago, then friday there's an interview of him saying "that's something I discuss myself with club, my agent, and then we'll see if we can work things out" so don't trust it still, with Raiola.
He’s in a bit of a form dip last few games. Really not at all ready for United. Maybe in a year or two, but even then I have my doubts.
By that you mean the exactly two games since the winter?
According to transfer market or whatever its name is, his contract would end in 2019 summer. Knowing Raiola, Ajax unlikely be able to turn the table by playing tough. 10mil + bunch of good add-on doesn't sound so bad a deal for them. There is every chance we may allow them to loan him for another season, so basically they lose nothing accepting it now. Being a Kluivert, perhaps the kid doesn't have money as big drive as much as other coming from poor background, so he doesn't need to go with the January transfer playing hard ball route to force a move.
Ajax has three talented 18-19 year olds who can play left-wing behind Kluivert: Johnsen, Ylatüpa, Kühn. Loaning back a very talented but inconsistent 18 year old player who chose to force a cheap exit after half a season in the starting xi represents zero value for Ajax and sends a bad signal to other young players coming through. (also Patrick Kluivert's financial situation isn't as trouble-free as you might think)
Anyway, Kluivert is a left-winger so I don't see why United would be after him anyway (and the article is clearly rubbish)
Say what you want but that looks very genuine to me
Even if you don’t think the words are interpreted 100% correctly, for the most part it looks bang on and José showing him admiration is undeniable
How on earth can you even say 10% of what the subs say are right when you can't anything of what Mourinho might be saying? Anyway, we know what was said because Kluivert has talked about it in an interview.
"He said that he'd known me for a long time. I was like "huh, how?" but then he explained that he was assistant at Barcelona when my dad played there. He said he'd known me since I was just one week old and told me to give his regards to my father.
He liked seeing me and said I'd grown big. Then he said that I was doing well because we had made it to the final. He didn't say that I should come play for him next year. Everyone fell for that"
