I have seen a lot of Kluivert and I don't think he is better than Chong. I would rather we look at Frenkie De Jong as a long term replacement for Matic
Yeah this is guy who I keep hearing is the biggest talent at that club.

I really can't see the logic in signing Kluivert, when we have a young Dutch talent in our youth team. Tahith Chong. No point in signing Kluivert.

Would rather give Chong a spot at the wings. He's a ridiculous talent.

I agree, we have some amazing players of the same age group who’d everyone would be raving about if they were at Ajax.

Was Mourinho at Barca when Kluivert played for them? I dont see it personally. If that video didnt exist, i think there wouldnt be any rumours.

 At the comments in here about Ajax selling their talents for cheap

Kluivert himself said pretty much said he was signing a new contract a couple weeks ago, then friday there's an interview of him saying "that's something I discuss myself with club, my agent, and then we'll see if we can work things out" so don't trust it still, with Raiola.

He’s in a bit of a form dip last few games. Really not at all ready for United. Maybe in a year or two, but even then I have my doubts.

By that you mean the exactly two games since the winter?

According to transfer market or whatever its name is, his contract would end in 2019 summer. Knowing Raiola, Ajax unlikely be able to turn the table by playing tough. 10mil + bunch of good add-on doesn't sound so bad a deal for them. There is every chance we may allow them to loan him for another season, so basically they lose nothing accepting it now. Being a Kluivert, perhaps the kid doesn't have money as big drive as much as other coming from poor background, so he doesn't need to go with the January transfer playing hard ball route to force a move.

Ajax has three talented 18-19 year olds who can play left-wing behind Kluivert: Johnsen, Ylatüpa, Kühn. Loaning back a very talented but inconsistent 18 year old player who chose to force a cheap exit after half a season in the starting xi represents zero value for Ajax and sends a bad signal to other young players coming through. (also Patrick Kluivert's financial situation isn't as trouble-free as you might think)

Anyway, Kluivert is a left-winger so I don't see why United would be after him anyway (and the article is clearly rubbish)

Say what you want but that looks very genuine to me

Even if you don’t think the words are interpreted 100% correctly, for the most part it looks bang on and José showing him admiration is undeniable

How on earth can you even say 10% of what the subs say are right when you can't anything of what Mourinho might be saying? Anyway, we know what was said because Kluivert has talked about it in an interview.

"He said that he'd known me for a long time. I was like "huh, how?" but then he explained that he was assistant at Barcelona when my dad played there. He said he'd known me since I was just one week old and told me to give his regards to my father.

He liked seeing me and said I'd grown big. Then he said that I was doing well because we had made it to the final. He didn't say that I should come play for him next year. Everyone fell for that"

Most hyped up talent at Ajax right now, and definitely a beautiful talent, but nah couldn't say he was the biggest talent. I'd have to put De Ligt and Dolberg on my tier 1 of Ajax (first team) talent. Followed by De Jong and Neres, and then Kluivert, Van de Beek, Onana, (Wöber)

He's nothing special. The type of player that will be linked to top clubs for ages... will suddenly sign for some mid-table Premier League side (like Southampton) in two seasons, people will think it's the 'steal of the summer' - and he will be really average. Quality wise He's comparable to Ademola Lookman.

Raiola does it again - yet another of his dubious clients arriving.

The thing is, Kluivert has only excelled on the left wing, a position Martial and Sanchez are currently scrapping over. Would be moronic to throw another one into the equation when the right the real problem area to address.

Chong and Mason Greenwood are already better developed physically and should render the Kluivert pursuit obsolete...but as I said Mino will make it happen.

I echo that Frenkie De Jong is the only current Ajax player worth signing, and any more forwards acquired should be proven comfortable on the right - Mahrez, Pulisic or Bailey are the logical three attacking targets in the summer.

Completely agree. Those are the targets if we are looking for right sided players. Should we even be looking for a right wing player given we need to find game time for Rashford and then youth players like chong.

haha because he's hyped right now? Yes he's more special than Kluivert but again De Ligt is far more rounded and developed as a player at this point than Frenkie, and also two years younger. What on earth would Frenkie's role be in a mourinho team?

Like they're saying, form is temporary, DNA is permanent. He got a good DNA this kid.

Justin Kluivert: “I have heard the rumours but I haven’t spoken to Mourinho. A move to Manchester United wouldn’t make sense, for now.” (Voetbal)

I thought Kluivert was a right winger, if not, then makes no sense at all to pursue him.
Anyway, Mourinho has already made it clear that we won't be looking to bring in any new attackers this Summer.

For me Dolberg is overrated.

Top talents of Ajax for me are: Van de Beek, De Ligt, De Jong, Neres.

I would rather we promote Chong and Gomes than buy Kliuvert.

Jordi Cruyff, Daley Blind, Justin Kluivert... perhaps chill with the sons of former "legends" ?

Completely disagree about Dolberg. He's been in poor form this season (though imo started fine but the system around him wasn't right at all and he lost confidence and get less and less involved). In terms of talent, he's a technically superb, is strong, quick, an incredible finisher, lightfooted (turns defenders for fun), incredible with his back to the goal as well as running off the defence. can dribble, has an amazing long shot in his right foot and is a great header of the ball. On top of that his decision making is superb, and he's inventive on the ball and with his finishing. His talent is so completely rounded. De Jong and Neres have a lot of talent, but they have weaknesses to their play that they need to accommodate for. Dolberg and De Ligt are both incredibly strong in all facets of their positions (except maybe Dolberg's left foot, and De Ligt's change of pace). Dolberg's problem is all in his head, and he needs to learn to get involved more, to chase the game the way strikers like Suarez, Aguero, Firmino get themselves involved when things aren't going their way instead of just retreating into themselves the way Dolberg does. If he can get over this, I have no doubt he'll be one of the world's top strikers for years. So I really hope Ten Hag can get into his head.

Nothing to do with the hype, just the class he oozes. And his role would be the same one Pogba’s asked to perform in the 4-2-3-1; he’s a Modric-esque midfield talent that all great teams and coaches can accommodate.

You know, since the Sanchez signing this looks much more understandable. The boy looks very like a young Sanchez in his playing and running style and we know how highly mourinho rates Sanchez and presumably, players of a similar ilk. Hadn't really noticed it before.

I'm all for buying talented 18 year olds for cheap in the hope one of them turns out class.

Dortmund are good at it.

Thing is, the likes of Dortmund can afford to take risks on these youngsters and it is part of their business model.

Here at United we cannot wait as long for these players to blossom in to stars as there is a higher expectation at the club and success needs to come quicker.

Sure, every now and again we will go for youngsters, but not in the same capacity as Dortmund who seem to sign loads every year.

Our attacking options are already looking congested, even moreso if we switch to 4-3-3 to offset Pogba's weaker traits. The only reason we should go for him if he has Mbappe levels of potential otherwise we have 2 exciting propsects in Gomes and Chong that are going to be vying with Martial and Rashford (who are hardly elder statesmen of the game).
