Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

I don't think overall results have been that better, and some of the performances were just as good with him in charge as they have been with Klopp.
I suppose also we hoped he would perhaps inspire us a little more than he has so far, however he cannot be judged yet it's too early.
He will need at least 1 summer transfer window to address the squad issues we have. I mean we spent millions on players, £35m plus alone on Markovic and Balotelli, both of whom Rodgers then sent out on loan!

These issues cannot be rectified quickly but reports suggest FSG will back him in the summer, I expect quite a few outgoings and hopefully some quality incomings.

Is it back on? A massive win and they are hot on our heels again. Liverpool could win the league if they carry on like this.
probably not

Rodgers got some results against the big teams especially in the 13/14 season.
His away record against the big sides was pretty poor. We caught United and Spurs at good times in 13/14. I do wonder how we would have done in the games against City and Chelsea this year with Rodgers in charge considering how poor Chelsea were under Mourinho and how bad City have been.

I'm not speaking about your away record, especially given last nights game was at Anfield. But yes, in the 13/14 season you's had some very good results against Arsenal, us and Spurs (especially Spurs).

Strictly speaking, only Arsenal were a big team back then.

That's a silly way of looking at it. They also smashed Everton at home and beat City at home that season. I think this City side is pretty piss poor if that's how you want to view things. I can't stand Rodgers but he did get some extremely good results that season.

Those are the ones we struggle with. We'll lose at Palace.

Palace haven't won for 11 league games, and are by far the worst team in the league over the last 10 games.

The perfect scenario for them to beat us and revive themselves then.

I have no confidence when playing them anymore.

The guy is a fecking prima donna on the sidelines. Wish Sky/BT would stop milking it already but that's obviously asking for too much.

It can look amusing when you see it once in a while. The funny side wears off when you see it every week. His antics are becoming annoying.

Isn't that the media's fault for continuously showing him on camera?

The second gif seems weird indeed, but what's wrong with the first?

One hour special talk and 30 minutes "documentary" about Kloppico, it's quite appaling how ott the media is hyping that match. Now they are broadcasting a fourth division match and the reporter who does the pre match stuff is wearing a Klopp T-shirt, while they show in the top right (permanently) that the coverage on thursday starts at 19.00 CET (2 hours before kickoff).

This was really hard stuff. At least the 10 minutes I survived listening. It was worse than my already low expecations. WDR is doing a 'Klopp is coming home' film today too in which e.g. Sebastian Kehl will get say (at least that's how it's advertised).

He pisses me off way, way more than I ever thought a rival manager could.

I don't understand why Klopp's annoying. He seems relatively amusing and tbh got Liverpool playing some decent stuff. If he can pick up a few half decent players (defenders!) in the summer I think they might make a stab at the title next year. Lot of dross in that squad and yet they're playing OK.

I'm not annoyed by Klopp himself, but rather by the immense media hype of the Dortmund:Liverpool fixture which (to make things worse) seems more interested in Klopp "coming home" than in the football that's about to be played.

Yeah they have evolved from can´t get a lead to can´t keep a lead and with some 1-2 decent defenders and an additional defensive midfielder that can change quickly, especially if they miss out on European football completely.

German Sky is about to report live from Klopp's (not Liverpool's, because who gives a shit about the actual match ) plane arrival in Germany. For now they have a live reporter at Klopp's hotel, who is telling us how this home coming might affect Jürgen.

Is this hype not inevitable though? Klopp is pretty big news in England but much bigger news in Germany. The fact that the hero manager is returning to the club he worked miracles at is obviously extremely interesting for most observers whether they are invested in the result or not.

The narrative is compelling in anybody's book - this isn't just Sky-type hype that tries to imply anything they commit to air is SOOO exciting. Klopp at Dortmund at the business end of a big competition is worthy of the interest. You don't have to enjoy the coverage but surely you understand it.

No. It makes no sense in my opinion.

Absolutely

Klopp-cam is going to explode that match.

Oh yeah. German media have an extra stream where you can watch Klopp for the entire match and the entire broadcast will go from 7pm (I know this because they have a permanent overlay telling me this since at least sunday) to 1 am.

There is milking a juicy narrative and there is redefining the term OTT hype.

It really has reached ridicilous levels. I don´t think there was that much coverage, advertising and hype around the German CL final in 2013, which tells you all you need to know about how forced the majority of this nonsense is.
